    Toyota Prius w/Opti-Coat 2.0

This is the first time that I have polished out an entire car. I did the polishing with a Flex 3401 using a combination of Uber Green, Meguiars Yellow and LC Orange pads (followed up with Uber Green). The polish used was HD Polish.

I probably should have done a two-step correction on certain areas, but I was trying to preserve as much of the clearcoat as possible. In particular, the roof was on the thin side. Overall, I think I attained between 60-80% correction on most panels so I am fairly satisfied with the improvement. Although I did not take any before pictures, I can honestly say that there is a significant improvement in gloss.

Here are some pictures that were taken with my iPhone. I do not have another camera so I apologize for the lack of detail.

On this particular panel, it came out near-perfect after several passes with HD Polish; I do not know if this picture shows it well enough, but here it is anyway:

So far, I have only found one high spot from my application of the OC 2.0. Hopefully I will not find too many more as time goes on.

I will post some pictures of the water beading once I wash the car in a week or two.

Member since 2009 and this is first full polish ????

Oh well...... Welcome to the addiction

Very nice job. And I for one really appreciate phone-cam pics. Too many pics around have been either "set up" or edited. So seeing stuff from the phone makes me happy since it`s normally untouched.. What ya see is what ya get

Thanks! It`s far from perfect (especially compared to your work), but I`m happy with it for my first full attempt.

I might have to come pay you a visit soon. I just moved into the area. My office is just a couple miles away from your shop.

Thanks. No skill here for re-touching so those pictures are real.

Yes, I`ve been here and on other detailing forums for many years, but have struggled with technique until recently. I think I finally have it done well enough to produce "passable" results, hence I attempted the entire car. Still haven`t quite figured out how to polish clear bra yet...maybe I`ll let JSmooth give that a shot for me.

    Re: Toyota Prius w/Opti-Coat 2.0

Washed the car today. As advertised, this stuff seems to do an amazing job of keeping the car clean. After one week, the car stayed much cleaner than usual.

All of the dust/dirt came off using a strong blast of the garden hose. During the wash process, the car wash soap would just roll off the paint. This is a bit surprising since the paint feels a tad grabby when it is dry.

So far, I only found two high spots. Even though it has been a week, I was able to "knock down" those two high spots with a MF towel and Meguiars M205. It took about 2-3 strokes and the high spot was gone. I may go back and re-coat those two areas for good measure.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the performance of Opti-Coat 2.0 so far.
