I clean the windshield every time I stop for gas and rain-x it about once every other month.

But, I`m starting to notice "spiderwebs" through parts of the wiper area. are these small scratches in the glass??The car is brand new!!

They had a few from the day I bought it, but I notice them spreading. Washing regularly doesn`t seem to help...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Can you send me a picture of it? I have never heard of such strange thing. My guess might be the Rain X that is contributing to it.

I`ll work on that pic, but i don`t see why the rain-x would do anything??

I was going to ask the dealership to take care of it. Should I do that??

You can always take it in and see what they say. If they have good service they should take care of it free of charge. Don`t let them wash your car thou, unless you want swirls in you paint.

I mentioned rain x becasue that would be the only thing that is coated on the glass. I presume you did not have this issue before you put anything on the glass. Just a guess,

Take it in and see what they say.

DO the marks follow the wiper path??? I.e. curved lines?

The wiper blades could have had something caught in them that scratched the glass.

They could also just be smears in the Rain-X.

Tru Shine and Unique Mobile Detailing, Audi R8 Spyder Protection Detail

Video:Tru Shine and Unique Mobile Detailing, Audi R8 Spyder Protection Detail

We arrived to this Audi R8 V10 spyder which was scheduled for a basic Protection detail. This is where we give it a thorough foam bath, clean the wheels, clay bar, and seal the paint, seal the wheels, and wipe down and vacuumed the inside. This car is not a garage queen and gets plenty of time on the roads. So Lets begin.....

We start off with cleaning the wheels.

    First the pre-rinse

We used Sonax Full Effect on the wheels, it is a pH neutral wheel cleaner that attacks the iron particles that have been embedded into the wheels, it will react and turn a red color which lets you know when it`s working.

Then the inside of the wheels were agitated with Ez detail and the swissvax brush was used for the tight areas.

We treated the front bumper and lower panels of the car with a tar/bug remover.

then a pre-rinse of the paint to dislodge any loose debris

    The foam bath..

Then the car was rinsed and brought inside for drying off

While I clay the car, David gets started on the inside

Then a quick wipe down with some cockpit premium

Then the paint was sealed using Black Fire Wet Diamond

Tires shined using OPT opti-bond (LOVE THIS STUFF)

    and stay tuned for more......

Thanks for looking, have a blessed day!

    Wow Eric,
You and David did a great job of cleaning up that R8. That is such a beautiful car and such a great color. You guys certainly did her justice. You should be proud.
I know that we have seen this garage before from you, but every time I see it, I turn green with envy!!!

Thanks everyone. the final version of the video is uploading now. It takes longer to make a video then it does to detail the cars! I definitely dont want to get into video editing full time!
