Does anybody have or use a vehicle assessment sheet. A list of defects to check for and to show the customer then have them sign that these defects are present and may be or may not be corrected.

There is one on the carbrite website. It is very thorough.

oops, silly me. I just re-read what you were asking. You can still use the list to help you come up with an assessment sheet.

That`s the same one I use. I posted that on the other thread too. Its a really good check sheet to use until you can get some others made that look a little more professional. Hey, with the right formating you could print those out as they are and look pretty professional. I don`t know how AutoInt feels about everybody using their forms, but if they are going to post them for the public to see then it must be ok. I`m listed on their site so I don`t feel to guilty about it. :p

I use one similar to what is on Autoint web site. The first thing I do is do a thorough inspection of the vehicle and fill out the sheet. I note any scratches, dents, tears in the interior, etc. Then I go over everything with the customer, explain to them what needs to be done, why it needs to be done, and point out any defects (ie. scratches, stains, etc.) that I may not be able correct. I then go over the price and have them sign of on the job.
