is it coated with anything?
i think clear coat paint. or gel coat. it feels smooth, no weave feel
nattys red it is!!!
I use Novus for polishing and protection you could also use PB PP and Nattys
It`s gonna be a pain, it`s only like 1" wide and 6" long.
Ron, when I want to really clean and polish ones that are in bad shape, I tape the trim off with painters tapeQuote:

I had a customers dog scratch the clearcoat on his Benz woodgrain recentally. I used 205 and it removed 100% of the scratches/claw marks. I was both surprised and amazed
