I have had great success for years using Dr Colorchip..
There are dozens of others, but I found that this system uses the factory pack original paint and a thinned version in a separate bottle to remove any extra paint around the repair safely, and allow the repaired area to flow flat and glossy..
You would want to prepare the area/s and surrounding area/s very well so that the paint will adhere best inside the spot where the original paint was removed..

Dan`s the man, I don`t think you`re going to get a better recommendation.

I`ve never had to use it, but Dr. Colorchip would be my 1st choice for a touch up/scratch repair solution.

For the non-professional user this system is really easy to use if you follow their directions.

And surprisingly, this system is very very close to what we did to touch up paint in auto body and paint shops..

If one is wanting to remove the look of the missing paint because of rock chips, this system will work and the paint will be flat and shiny in the damaged area/s

It might not be a perfect color match because it is new paint, and the paint you are using it on may have faded, etc., but nevertheless, it will be way better than looking at areas that are missing paint.

And no, I dont work for or have any association with this company or any of its employees.. I dont even remember where they are based in the US..

Their product has been consistently good for me in all kinds of colors - flat or metallic, and I always want to only use products that meet the high quality level I require and are predictable..

Good luck with your research !

I have used Dr Colorchip and Lanka. The Dr. Colorchip is easy to use. As long as you don`t have a pearl color or metallic it works best.
    heavy
Could never get my pearl to look decent after a touch up.

Bondo, remove excess, mix up paint. Layer and remove with right paint leveller. Still perfecting my technique, it`s not easy one bit.
