Re: Seeking advice for correcting/polishing Estoril Blue BMW

He He I Like Menzerna but I am sure there a ton of other as good or better out there. I am using it because I have a few 32oz bottles of or it (one P85RD, one Super intensive polish, one power lock and maybe a couple more) so I have some investment to use.

    thank you for your input

    Nick

Heh heh, yeah...that`s one very good reason IMO.

I love menzerna polishes I also have tried many others Meg`s 105/205 etc.. they are so good you can finish it with one try.. but I always try to do a Menzerna P85rd take at the end. then you can play with LSP and waxes to your hearts content.

Any products that you find particularly work well for the estoril blue? Maybe that`s not even a thing but curious on your experiences.

    Thanks

Don`t feel too bad, that "I spent a day and have little to show for it...what a bummer!" is just *so* common. My general take on it is that a reasonable (i.e., safe for your level of experience) approach simply takes a VERY long time...so let it do that rather than upping the ante (i.e., increasing the risk factor).

And remember, Life is NOT a Car Show I know this is Autopia, but seriously..

And oh yeah, sure...every detailer on the internet would "get that perfect in no time" (scare-quotes very intentional). But you`re living in the Real World so just forget about all that.
What MF pads (brand, ?colors) would you recommend for use with M101 or Megs Ultimate Compound? I am using a Porter Cable.
Would you use the MF for the finer polishes too, or switch over to the foam pads?

Dirty Jacket- I`m afraid you`ll have to get the "which MF pad?" answer from somebody else as I`m still using the old/discontinued Meguiar`s ones. (Note that with the PC I`d be using small/4" pads rather than larger 5.5-6.0" ones.)

I do switch to foam for Finish Polishing, but that`s just me and MF might work fine.

Eh, sorry I`m not being of much help after being so emphatic about about the general approach I`d advocate
