Re: 2015 Silverado, when to walk away!

I would caution the client to be sure they don`t glaze it and return it, then blame months down the line.

Good catch on the low readings.

Obviously, but I was answering ShaneB on why dealerships feel the need to work on "not touched" cars.

I know you work at a dealership. Would you say most people would pick out and complain about those defects that you pictured?

No simply because of the fact that we remove those defects before delivery. We have a pretty competent detail team. However, if we just washed them and put on some tire shine, I`m sure most people wouldn`t say anything.

i know many cars come with minor defects

What I meant was that dealership details that do the kind of work on that truck, consider that acceptable, so if that disaster is acceptable, why are they chasing the little stuff that I guarantee they don`t notice? I obviously don`t speak for all dealerships, but we all know their reputation in the detailing world

Update, Ihad a pretty non productive meeting with the body shop manager and my client today. They pretty much had no idea why we where there`s! After showing him the problems, I don`t think he was happy when I told him it was obvious that he had no one that had the knowledge or training to properly buff paint. He also had no answer for my question as to why he thought buffing with a wool pad ,compound and a rotary would remove the swirls it left the first time? At this point it is between GM and the dealer.

Please tell me it wasn`t Chriswell. I liked them.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
