    Hi

Hey guys and girls. I have been looking at this website for years. It blows me away how easy you guys make detailing look easy. I am a plumbing contractor in CT. I have had two Mustangs in the past that I did car shows with. I now have a four year old boy and the stangs are gone. I have a 2010 black altama and 2009 blue RDX. I am looking to get some advise on products to use. Thanks for letting me in the group. Dan

    Re: Hi

Dan, welcome. I hear you on the family vs cars. Hang on it goes full circle.

As far as products go, there are lots of good ones and no one product is the only way to get where you want. I had a black infiniti and that is most similar to your black Altima. Trick is you need a machine for dark colors. Its impossible by hand. At least for me.

Pictures would help us see how much cut you need before polishing.

Post some pics and I will see if I can give you an prescription.

    Re: Hi

Your PMs are off, wanted to know if you knew a good tire shop on LI, my friend just re-did his rims after the winter and got new tires, looking for a shop to mount and balance without damaging the new finish?

Any ideas? South Shore Nassau preferred?

I keep getting pms for quotes thats why. I`m not sure about nassau but I always go to the firestone in bayshore, I know the tech there as he moonlights at my friends performance shop. Ask for Franky.

    Re: Hi

I don`t have any pic`s now. The weather is so bad all you would see is dirt. I have some swirls and hazing. The black Altima is the worst. I`m looking at Menzerna PF2500 and SF4500 and Blackfire or 3D HD cut, polish and Blackfire. I will be using a PC da polisher with Meguiars and chemical guys hex pads. Looking for the best looking finnish with low risk of damage.

    Re: Hi

A pc wont cause damage, 2500 is probably perfect with an orange or green hex pad.

    Re: Hi

Welcome aboard ! I have used both the SF4500 and the HD Polish. The SF4500 is good, but since I started using the HD Polish I prefer it over any other finishing polish.
