As a new Autopia member, I`m getting closer and closer to purchasing a PC. I want to learn as much as possible but don`t want to inundate the board with repetitive questions. How do I use the search function with the term "PC"? Apparently, search terms have to have at least 3 letters. For instance, I want to find all threads with titles that include "clay" and "PC"...

You can try 7424 or 7336; those are the two models numbers they come in. Also check out the "Learn" icon for a tutorial.

BTW you can narrow down the searches by selecting which sub forum you are interested in.

As MS22 has suggested 7242/7336, *PC* should give you the information

So I assume there is no way to search titles using the term PC? If not, those sound like good alternatives. Thanks guys.

I must admit the 3 character limit has frustrated me a few times, searching for #80 or #83 for example won`t work :nixweiss

Someone recently addressed this...use an asterisk, i.e. "PC*". I think that was what was recommended for searching product numbers, etc. I can`t vouch for the results--haven`t tried it for PC.

    Jeff,

When you click on Search, there is an option to "Search titles only." I`ve used this many times when I only wanted "major" posts on a particular subject. And for PC, as others said, you can try PC* or *PC or porter* ... any one of those should work!

I think you need to include `wild cards` (i.e. *PC *) ..that`s all the computer geek speak I know
