    Stained (Burnt) Leather Steering Wheel

So, w bought my daughter a 2012 Fiat 500 Lounge. It is Pearl White with White/Red Leather interior. The car has a white leather wrapped steering wheel. Well, one of her friends got her this god awful zebra steering wheel cover. To be nice, she put it on the car. The other day, she decided that was long enough and took it off. It left what looks to me like burn marks under it. There is a brown ring around the wheel now that we cannot remove. I have tried Meguiars Quick Interior Detailer and Mothers VLR. I know them are very light duty, but I didn`t want to get too crazy before I brought the problem here. I have attached some pictures to give you an idea of what I am talking about. Here they are - let me know if you have any ideas on how we can fix this-besides putting the cover back on . Not sure why the pics are upside down, but you can still see the brown on the wheel.

Sounds to me like it`s dyed. Leather masters should take that right out.

Agreed! Dye transfer most likely. Leather Masters Strong Cleaner or even the Rapid Cleaner should work well. As always, test an inconspicuous area first. You may also want to consider getting the protection cream too being white and all.

IMO you stand a very good chance of removing the factory dye when you try to remove the zebra print. The factory dye on steering wheels is notoriously thin.

One of those Chinese products that does more harm the good, yes I do agree to go with Leather Masters or even try Optimum Power Clean. Just be careful on it because it can be thin material on there.
