    Advertising.....

For those of you who detail in return for cash compensation, how do you advertise?

Yellow pages? Flyers? TV ads? Word of Mouth?

My detailing is limited to a few customers a month and they`re mostly specialized cars from people I meet a car shows.

I just pass out business cards to people I meet... that`s my advertising.

    What`s your advertising method?

I used to be in the yellow pages, but always by word of mouth. I`ll also on the web.
AutopiaForums is the place to be.

word of mouth is great but the bulk of my business is from the yellow pages ad. I tried other forms of advertising including mailing coupons etc and wasted a lot of money.

My customers decide they need a detail, open the phone book and start calling all the listings. I make sure my ad is the largest I can afford and make sure to always answer the phone. if I have to call someone back many times they booked with another detailer by then.
