“So even the Inspector General for ODNI (Office of the Director of National Intelligence) didn’t have the requisite security clearances?” Chaffetz pressed, seeking to clarify McCullough’s statement.

“That’s correct. I had to get read-ins for them,” McCullough said.

I wish there was a way I could block any thread related to Hiliary Clinton, Donald Trump, Obama, or the upcoming charade of an election.
I still don`t believe in grit guards.

I think I`m gonna start working on not indulging this particular temptation...I keep wondering why people invest so much time in such stuff and I`m starting to think that *I* am spending too much time just scanning, and sometimes posting, on these threads. Guess everybody needs a hobby, but I just don`t see the point. Life`s too short to waste on [so many things].

As an aside, I will add that if we had term limits I do think the influence of money in elections would be reduced. The incumbents always has the advantage since they have a fund raising base. Politicians spend too much time raising money from special interests. We may end up with more dynamics (swings in policy) but at least it can be changed quicker.

I would agree. 0 reason for any politician to hold office for decades. It should be reformed to a max of 2 terms with no pension or gov. funded Healthcare once out of office

I would add that service in the House or Senate goes not come with any pension benefits. They get a 401k and nothing guaranteed beyond what is matched.
Senators are eligible for a pension just after one term since they meet the 5 year minimum.

Alas, we will not likely see anything come for a vote.

Term limits and bans on asking anyone for money. No paycheck if the budget isnt balanced. It would almost be like what we all have to do day to day, perform.
