In my experience anyone who starts haggling over the price before work begins isnt anyone you want to start a relationship with. They are usually the ones who you will be unable to please. I think you handled it well Brandt.

Hopefully anyone on here that is around the Fort McMurray area is doing alright. Pretty crazy seeing a fire already that size and it`s not even summer yet.

Frustrated my employer won`t share any details about the private health insurance policy that I`m required to pay for by law, neither will my insurer. They both offered to answer all my questions without exception, so I asked for a printed copy of the contract (denied), then I asked for everything not covered and all exceptions, etc (denied).

So I submitted my claim ($1k MRI) and they called my boss telling him they suspect me of fraud and they want to audit me!!! I was about to drive over and punch someone in the face for that slanderous sh*t.

I guess some things in Canada are a joke... Who would pay to sign up to a blind insurance contract?!

Sorry just had to vent, lol

My inlaws were all safely evacuated, thank goodness.

This guy has a few other dash cam videos as well. One shows a motorcyclist behind him and you can see the guy flinching from the heat and he just takes off. Although in that situation I don`t think I`d be on a bike, I`d be in my car.

Not that I know from personal experience but I believe snake anti-venom is also ridiculously priced....of course they kind of have you in a take it or leave it situation....
