    Pray for Texas

just wanted to remind everyone to keep Texas in their prayers. I know we have quite a few members out that way and can only hope they are not being victimized by all the flooding. seems like they`ve been in a draught forever and now with the monsoons, floods are creating devastation all over the place.

Yeah. Tough to see the devastation and lives in peril.

Thank you for the kind thoughts. It has been a beautiful and warm day (surprisingly) in Houston, apparently we had 80% of storm chance today but so far we have clear skies thankfully, we`ll see what happens over the weekend. I even saw a pretty nasty little storm coming down from San Antonio/Austin heading our way, but i guess it moved and continued out East.

    Re: Pray for Texas

A friend of mine down there spent the night in an interior closet with his family due to tornado warnings. Luckily he is not flooded out. I complain about the snow all the time but I can shovel that.

I`ll take snow anytime. Living with the notion that at any time you can lose everything to floods, fires, droughts, hurricanes, and tornadoes makes a bit of snow almost trivial.

    I agree ,

I lived in Northern VA for 3 years and snow did not bother me,it`s concerning how rain down here in S. TX floods anything so easily, people lose so many things they`ve worked so hard for and I`ve also lived through numerous Hurricanes (born and raised in Puerto Rico, so pretty much every single year there was a big Hurricane) and it is way more devastating than heavy snow falls IME.
