Guess who has a buldged disk :(

Well got some MRI results today for my FUBARED back, looks like a bulge in the L5-S1 disk.

Found this cool pic :google :

My films look very similar, see the attached pic, it`s a cross section through the disk area. Well, off to the chiropractor (again!)
Guess I shouldn`t have been doing squats with 300+ lbs the past 10 years... :lol

Sorry to hear about your back that really sucks. Did you look into the shots that pretty much kill the nerve fibers in that area? I know a few prople who have had them done in order to continue their regular activities, which one was a marathoner I occasionally train with and the other was a competitive basketball player from one of my leagues. BTW thanks for discouraging me away from lifting legs, that is by far the worst part of my week even though I quit going heavy a few years ago with my legs (lately its been a wide recivers workout I read about on the Giants website). Look into some alternative treatments that stay away from the knife, there are new invasive outpatient procedures coming out all of the time.

I don`t plan on surgery at all right now. A shot that KILLS nerves doesn`t sound very wise either :dunno
I`m hoping the chiropractor or P/T can put the disk back where it belongs :huh

Re: Guess who has a buldged disk :(

Thanks guys, recently I have not felt as bad as the picture looks. I hurt it back in January, it has just not completely healed. I am mostly better but it still does not FEEL right, now I can see why. I have still been detailing away though as best as possible in this Spring-like Michigan weather lately. Duty calls!

MRI`s are so cool, I keep checking out my films to see if I can find what I had for lunch that day in there
