    sheep skins

I just had a woman call that wanted me to take her sheep skins out and get them dry cleaned for her and re install them.

Sounds like a major PITA ,so Im not doing it

Ive never had this request before .

How do you guys deal with sheep skins?

Sheep skins? 1987 is long over! Tell her to live in the now. Neoprines are the in thing. Honestly, I have never come across those and am no help at all.

I put my 5x8 sheepskin rug into a commercial washer and dryer before. Came out pretty good. Hard to get stuff out once it gets down into the pile though. Fine toothed comb and plenty of patience is key

Typically they are slid over the seat and fastened by elastic and hooks. The bottom has elastic bands that are hooked under the seat. Some are tied. They are not bad to get off unless the bands are pinched in the track or hinge.
One day I`ll get to do my own car.

    Re: sheep skins

Usually when people have these sheepskins I will clean just the surface or most often just the part stained with a mild cleaner and stay clear from the under neath skin. Its not often I run into these.

Ive had sheepskins before and if you get the skin part wet it can take forever to try even when thrown in the dryer.

Yeah Ive taken just regular clothe seat cover off before and they are always a PITA. One time I had a whole entire van full of them...never again!!

I cant be straining myself like that anyway .This injury is a great excuse to do things i dont want to do!

Sorry, meant neoprene. That is the wet suit type of material seat covers. They are all the rage with the kids these days.

Wow a blast from the past ( 70-80`s ). Just clean them like you have mention DC or you can thrown them in a washer and use the mild cycle. If it was me I would go about doing it by hand.
