    Hi everybody!

I just joined this very interesting forum.

Since I`m new here, will start with the question.

I have a new (two weeks-old) BMW 330I (topaz-blue metallic, black leather interior, sport package).Intend to use Klasse AIO, Klasse SG, Blitz wax. My car apparently had been waxed by a dealer, so my question is- should I remove this wax with Paintwork Cleansing Lotion first, before applying AIO, or it`s o`kay to use it on the top of the dealer`s applied wax (don`t even know what brand he used).

    Please, help!

I think to my knowledge, the AIO will remove previous old wax and other stuff from the paint.

A cleansing lotion might not be necessary for removing wax, the AIO should do it. but a cleansing lotion is a good prep when needed to restore the blemishes on the paint.

I forgot, the AIO should be safe in stripping any type of wax. It should strip any type of wax safely from your car. so don`t worry about what kind of wax you have on your car.

    it should be just fine.

Yeah, you would need to rid yourself of the dealer applied wax or sealant. Not sure which one they used but it really doesn`t matter. If you want the best results possible, start with the Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion. This should help you in ridding the wax on your paint. The All in One is a light cleaner that will layer some acrylic for protection. The net result is that you will get a pretty good shine from this product and great protection as well.

Just make sure you don`t start with All in One and then follow with the Pinnacle Cleansing Lotion as the Pinnacle product will remove the acrylic protection from the All in One. Laters.

Thank you all guys for your response!

I tend to use Klasse AIO as a cleaner first to get rid of the dealer`s applied stuff, I think that using Pinnacle Paintwork Cleaning Lotion on a 2wk-old car probably is an overkill, even though I might be wrong. But thank you anyway.

Maril - I`ve used Dawn as a (cheap) solution to removing old wax & gunk. The Pinnacle will also work quite well.

If you haven`t already found it, I wrote up some step-by-step instructions for Klasse application. See: http://autopia-carport.com/forum/sho...threadid=1143. I hope that you find it useful.

    Good Luck & Welcome!!

Thank you jimwh for your reference to a great post-really helpful.I only have one comment to make: people are seem to be divided on the use of Dawn or Cleaning Solution prior to Klasse AIO application, and I`m still "divided" as well.

    All Time Favorite Detailing Product

If you had to pick just ONE product that you would consider to be your All Time favorite detailing product, what would it be?

Mine would have been ONR until I used BFWD today. This stuff ROCKS my world:thumbup::thumbup:

Z8 and second place is WAAAAY down the line. I love that stuff. BFWD is unreal though, but Z8 is used every single day in my garage.

This question is just not right, there`s no way to choose ONE product! But I do have to say, I use 1Z Cockpit Premium almost daily to touch-up or do a total wipe-down of the interior of my car. It smells so good and keeps the plastic, vinyl and leather looking top-notch.
