I sure would like to get a strap for mine but plan to make one when I get the time.

Re: New & Improved Mckees turbo dryer.

You guys prefer the conical nozzle over the oblong one on the The New Air Wand?

I`ve experimented with both types and while the conical is great for tight spots (which I do with the compressor), the AirWand works better for me on large panels (hence I prefer it for getting most of the water off quickly).

That makes it a no-brainer for me, but I`m curious what others prefer. Not sure how anybody`d ascertain a preference without trying both types though....

After using my new sidekick, I`m not sure I`ll have much use for my older model turbo dryer. I was able to set up a lot quicker and maneuver around the car a lot easier too.

Maybe if I`m doing a large vehicle it might come in handy again.

Yes sir!!! If there`s a good LSP on there and you work the air at the right angle to minimize doing extra passes ,it is easily possible. It felt like less of a hassle than using the turbo dryer too in my opinion and experience with it so far. That little thing is more powerful than what it looks like. I used the cone tip too(the fan tip is kind of useless) and to finish I just do a very quick walk around and gently wipe blot any random minimal water drops.

It looks like Nick listening to the complaints regarding the original version. If all of the bugs have been worked out this is a must have.

As usual, the first group of people to buy the original(of most devices nowadays) are the guinea pigs and then the updated/better version(s) come out . If they would have tested this plenty i`m sure they would have caught the hose pop-off issue , along with realizing a strap is a pretty logical thing to add to it. This is why i don`t like buying new things right away and i should have waited longer or gotten the sidekick the first time, but unfortunately i don`t think i was aware of its existence though.

I must try this. I have the Sidekick, but didn`t bother trying it before. It does seem pretty powerful, especially for its size. Me and my wife got a kick out of how the hose extension swells and extends with pressure! It`s length more than doubles, it seems!

Congrats. Can you post a picture of how the strap works? I want to add more to mine and want to see how they did it.
