    Polisher Storage ..... Ideas?

I`m going to have 5 polishers now.

Has anyone come up with a better option than putting them in toolbags.

I do all my detailing in my garage but don`t want them getting banged up either.

I`m in for a good idea as well. I have 3 in the lower drawer of my tool box and the others in a cabinet.

Can`t resist... But I do think I could make something similar out of wood pretty reasonably.

For the 3-5 times I pull out my polishers It takes up too much room. If I was a pro with a shop, I would have a local metal shop fab up a narrower, staggered double decker version.

I`m up to 6 polishers with is ridiculous I know but it happens when you guys post how great a machines is and I cant resist.

I`m going to see if a friend can make something like the Rupes but use a custom logo instead of the Rupes one.

Hmmm...Aluminum, stainless, HDPE, ..... the gears are turning.......

    Re: Polisher Storage ..... Ideas?

    I have 9 polishers.

    Makita 9227
    Flex
    Flex Rotary
    Rupes 21
    GG6
    UDM
    PC
    PCXP
    Griots Mini

I just store them in nice tool bags that I get a Harbor Freight. Usually the bigger bags will hold pads, handles, and extra backing plates. I just make up laminated labels for what polisher is in the bag. I have one bag that easily holds my Flex and a small PC.

I`ve been using a Stanley FatMax Tool Bag.
Although I like the BLACKFIRE Professional Detail Bag the Stanley is stronger.
I can fit four machines in a Stanley FatMax Tool Bag

Pat, do you run a detailing business to have 9 polishers?
Having 5 is making me wonder...when do I make an appointment to see a counselor. For a hobby I`m wondering if I have too much yet.

Hmm this would be tempting, a nice organized hanging polisher holder would be awesome. Not at the Rupes price though, while wood is nice I think metal suits organization better.

I talked to him last night and we are going to try a bare bones prototype probably out of aluminum. No logo or anything that isn`t functional and using something as light as we can yet still be strong enough to hold the polishers so that we can keep the cost down.

I thought maybe a polished aluminum would look cool on the wall and it should still be pretty cheap. He suggested possibly using diamond plate.

I just have mine sitting on the bench now. Once we finish our garage addition I will have them stored in a drawer or cabinet. (Old Pic)

Was it here or over at autogeek there is a guy I think in the United Kingdom who makes really cool custom wall hanger, but they weren`t cheap. Even have the big foot logo lazer in.
