    Re: Soap

I kinda chuckle when I see those little bottles...I can go through a *LOT* of shampoo when I wash the Tahoe, and I don`t mean just six or twelve ounces.

That whole "if it ain`t broke..." thing is probably my primary impediment to changing anything. That and having *many* gallons on-hand. I do still find it an interesting topic though.

I suspect that my foamgun-centric approach simply rewrites the rules regarding dilution, and I`m not eager to go back to square one and figure out the dilution with anything new. Heh heh, I can`t even remember what I paid for that 5 gallons of 3D! On a straight per-ounce cost basis, the numbers *were* quite compelling at the time.

Eh, gimme a while and we`ll see what I do when I finally need to restock.

    Depends how you define "bad".

*MOST* soaps on the market probably wouldn`t satisfy me and *IMO* would lead to more wash-induced marring than I`m getting now. And some soaps (even some otherwise good ones) are way too tough on LSPs, basically stripping them when used at a dilution that cleans well.

    Re: Soap

It looks like Griot`s is de-emphasizing the Griot`s wash and marketing the Brilliant Wash. I think more consumers want something with a "wax" (shine agents) in it since many are looking for few step products (wash and shine).

I liked the Griot`s Wash and Wax a lot better than the regular stuff but have not tried the Brilliant Wash.

The brillant wash looks interesting. This can be had OTC here. I needed a gallon of something that leaves nothing behind. And have used HW in the past and loved it! Only a pump in the gun and one in the bucket provided a surperb wash.

OFF TOPIC. OMG the DP POWER WASH & WAX is one of the best soaps i have used to date. If your looking for some protection left behind. Just a flood rinse and WW dry. Even in the sun, no spotting or streaking! This soap would nill your need for a drying agent or QD after a wash. Its that good! But at $50/GAL it is expensive. The 32oz is $20. Your LSP is left intact. The lubricity and cleaning ability are 10/10. And like HW, the suds last the whole wash.

I am out of DG 902 and looking for a new soap for maintenance washes, not decon or stripping. I can get 3D Pink 5 gallon at a great price through 3D, the same cost as 1 gallon of DP Power Wash N Wax. Never tried a wash n wax I was happy with, is the DP that worth it? I am looking for a soap to boost the shine and protection. I tried 3D Wash n Wax and wasn`t overly impressed with it over DG 902. I use CG CWG for my decon and stripping.

Meticulous- Far be it from me to damper your interest in the 3D Pink Soap, but when you do the price comparison, are you including the shipping charges?

YES! Try the 32oz size. No regrets on this soap. (DP POWER WASH & WAX)

Another reason i like the HW. 400:1 DILUTION! 1oz to 5 gallons!

Love the scent, the lubricity, and the cleaning power. But !oh man! was it tough on my LSPs. I used to chuckle about the idea that they made it that way so people would buy more of their waxes.

I actually just used my 2oz sample of pinnacle bodywork shampoo and I love this stuff, it`s kinda of expensive but gets cheap when you buy the 64oz or 128oz, I`m really liking the smell, suds, and lubricity, plus they weren`t kidding when they say the suds won`t disappear I didn`t have to spray the hose into the bucket to get more suds.
