I use the goodyear rubber, lifetime craftsman hoses as well. Griots sells one that they say will not kink and is good to -40 but naturally it isn`t cheap.

The 8 ply Made in USA Gilmour Flexogen is the best hose I`ve found hands down. Around here you can only get them at Ace Hardware.

My Goodyear hose has got to be over 30 years old. Love that thing!

Also own a Craftsman lifetime rubber hose. The good, the thing probably will last a lifetime. The bad, the thing will probably last a lifetime. This is absolutely the worst hose I have ever owned when it comes to kinking, hot weather, warm, weather, cool weather, cold weather. It is heavy and when wet or dry it leaves black residue on your hands when in use.

It does leave black on your hands. Haven`t had the kinking issue though.

I have the 100 ft flexzilla and in the cold temps it does not bend easily which I thought it would somewhat better than a normal rubber hose. I would say for colder temps look elsewhere but if cold temps are not an issue the hose is pretty good as it does not kink that much in the warmer weather and it is pretty good quality.

Love my Flexzilla! For the price it`s up there with most top hoses. Goodyear/Craftsman are great choices too. I`m more pickier about the fittings/washers.
