    Pinnacle SMR review with PICS

I washed my car last night and had some unexpected free time today so.....I tried out the new pinnacle SMR.
    First impressions:

    It is very think

A little goes a long way

It does NOT like to have a damp pad, makes removal much harder

When applied thinly it removes very easily

If you like SSR1, then you will like this product. This is the closest product that I have seen to rival the glossy look of SSR1

The product will stain trim, but not very bad, just be sure to wipe clean as you go.

I had a bit of dusting half way through, the pad was loaded. A quick spray with S&W and then some blotting with a MF refreshed the pad and no furhter dusting issues occured.

It leaves the paint squeeky clean and breaks down really fast

It remends of a mix between between MPPC and SSR1. It leaves the paint squeeky just like MPPC, but has the gloss of SSR1.

Bottom line, very nice product and seems to be aimed at the enthusiast. By that I mean that it seems that most of us can avoid really bad marring, we just need something pretty mild to clean up minor inevitable marring from washing/drying.

Process was wash, dry, Pinnacle swirl remover with a meg`s polishing pad @5, AIO by hand, EX-P, LS.

BTW, LS is the slickest carnauba that I have ver used, very nice product. I guess I should do a seperate review on that.

I think the paint looks very clear and WET. I am usually a fan of a darker combo, but this is a nice change. I really like it.

    EBP,

Nice review, and great work as always!

The Pinnacle SMR`s are supposed to have "fillers".............. key your eye on it, and let us know!

I agree on the LS................ slick stuff. After you apply and remove a coat, let it sit for a few hours, and then wipe it down lightly with Final Detail, or Last Touch. Then, let it sit overnight, and wipe it down again with FD, or LT............................. talk about slick, and wet!

    Will do Boss!

I checked the paint before AIO and after, results seem to be the same. I wanted to use the AIO to remove any fillers that may have been there. There weren`t any real "swirls" on the paint, only very minor marring so......

I will test it further along with the advanced SR.

I also tried out the Pinnacle Swirl Remover. Instead of posting my own review, I`ll be lazy and post here.

I agree with everything here. The product dusted quite a bit for me, but it left a wonderful shine. And LS left my car with an awsome liquid looking finish. Wish I had pics, sorry . . .

EBPcivicsi - When you added the LS on top of the EX-P, how did the appearance change? I haven`t tried LS, so I`m interested in hearing your opinion about the look as compared to EX-P.

I agree with EBPcivicsi, but I didn`t think it was as thick as Meg`s IMO. I do agree and I thought they were excellent products. Nice Pics

The LS seemed to make the paint a bit warmer and added a bit of wetness. I find EX-P over AIO to be a very wet reflective combo. The LS enhanced it by not darkening the paint too much while still adding to the already wet-look. The LS really added slickness to the finish. How long that will last, don`t know.

Did that make sense at all?

RJ SD, Sounds to me like the pad was loaded. It happened to me a couple of times. I used S&W on the pad, then blotted with MF, dusting was gone.

Yes, it did make sense! Did the LS topper take away from the clarity of EX-P? One of the things I like best about EX-P is its ability to let metallic flake shine through.

I recently tried UPP over EX-P combo, and it changed the look completely. Made it much warmer looking (almost "molten"), but it also seemed to change the color. I decided that it was a very interesting look, but not one that I really cared for.

Yep, you definitely sacrifice a bit of clarity for the gain in depth. It doesn`t darken as much as NXT or #26, or even TS for that matter, but it will certainly effect the clarity of EX-P.

I like it on my car, but I know that I wll change it up soon enough.
