Re: Wipe New (As Seen On TV)

My local Fry`s has a big "as see on tv" section and today I was in there and looked for it but sadly they did not have it. If it is cheaper than the commercial price I may pick some up and use my sister`s Ford Explorer as a test vehicle.

Since no on has reviewed it, here goes. I bought the Wipe New Wheels. I found it on clearance at Target for $5 so what the heck. I decided to use it on wheels that would be subject to high temp track pads that dust pretty badly. There were 2 packets in the box. Open the packet and wipe the presoaked cloth on the wheel. It went on thick and glossy. After an hour of drying the gloss had subdued. It`s an easy to use product. Time will tell if it`s anymore durable than standard sealants. Amazon reviews give it 5 stars.

A long itme ago, my neighbor had some and I used wipe new on my frontier`s plastic running on the bed edges of my truck...it worked much better than I had expected but only on the textured trim pieces

it faded away after about a month (3-4 RW during that period)

I had a customer who used this on their Avalanche. He said it looked okay at first but it wasn`t long before it faded again except now it`s uneven and a product like Solution Finish won`t work on it now because this stuff is on there. I don`t know if it can be stripped without ruining the plastic parts.

How do you know it`s a rip off since you have never used it?

What does this have to do with anything in this thread? Were you loaded when you wrote that or what?
