I prefer the new formulated Zymol Car Wash. Its the best smelling that I have used and it produces alot of suds plus it stays suddie in the wash bucket. It makes me want to take a bath in it.

Nice review Troy. IMO it`s hard to beat CG or DG soap.

Thanks for the review. This looks very cost effective. Maybe I`ll give it a shot after I run through the other batch of soaps I need to use up.

Interesting to hear you speak so highly of this, I have tried it and didnt really like it. I felt that the lubricity just wasnt there. I now use it only for wheels.
One of the few Megs products that I wasnt impressed with.

That is surprising actually. I have tried and have a few soaps that are almost to luberious (is that even a word?). They are so sick it is almost weird and off putting because it seems fake. If you don`t like the lubricity have you tried it in a foam gun? It makes crazy foam as well. IMO as good as most of the dedicated foam soaps.

This is the great thing though. There are so many options out for each persons individual taste.

Troy, what a thorough and detailed review of a very underrated product indeed. I could a gallon tow years ago and and have been very impressed with it`s performance and especially its dilution...

Thanks for all the hard work and providing the members of Autopia Forums such a comprehensive product review...

Looks like this is something I would like to try bad thing is before I found this site I was in Walmart this spring and bought a jug of Blue Coral car wash and kind of regret it. Nothing wrong with the car wash it seems now I find the better stuff here. I was using Turtle Wax Zip Wax car wash and was just about out and bought this. I had a sample of Surf City Garage car wash used it once but gave it to a friend now that seemed pretty decent stuff and it smelled great and had good suds.

It is pretty much the same price as Optimum Car Wash.

I have been using Optimum and like it; is Hyper-Wash better in your opinion?

I hear some on the Forum adding ONR to their wash media. Have you tried this? Do you see any benefit?

I have a Black SUV and continue to struggle with wash induced micro-marring. Bought an electric leaf blower to try this weekend.

    Thanks,

    Kyle Allen

    First, Thank you.

Optimum Car Wash is very nice soap. My one complaint with it was that I found it hard to rinse off a vehicle. It seemed to "cling" for me.

IMO Hyper-Wash is just as good if not a more "well rounded" soap. It is slick when washing, creates good-great foam using a foam gun/cannon, and rinses away easily. Personally I would buy another gallon of Hyper-Wash before I bought a gallon of Optimum Car Wash.

I have and do add a splash of ONR to my washes at times. Since it has some "water softening" properties it helps if you have hard water. Really at times I can`t really tell a difference when doing this but I do know the science behind it.

Using a concentrated lubricated soap and quality wash tool will do wonders to help reduce micro-marring. The CarPro wool wash mitt is IMO one of the best choices for a soft but effective wash media. After soaking it prior to use (it is a skin that should be softened by soaking prior to use) it is super soft and gentle, yet able to clean properly. After use and letting it dry, I use a pet brush to "brush" it to make sure the hair is straight and clean of all debris. And it only takes a few minutes but is well worth it. I also like the Microfiber Maddness Wash mitt. Buying a higher end wash mitt can make a huge difference.

I started drying with towels and then moved up to a leaf blower. After a awhiole I finally stepped up to a MasterBlaster. The MasterBlaster is in a whole new level of blow drying. And it really is a great tool.

Glad you brought this up, great review....Its also good as a refresher for those that have been detailing for a long time. I have used this soap for my business for about a year and a half, great soap, cost effective, easy to dilute or make stronger, cleaning ability is good too...but for 128 oz....that`s a 128 washs, recommended 1oz to 5 gallons of water ( you cant beat that)...I have allot of other shampoos...but for customers that are in for paint restoration and paint enhancement....this is my choice.
