    Corvette Wheel Lug Brush?

Has anyone tried these out? I am ordering some stuff from AG and I`ve been eying these for some time. Seems like it would save time and cleaner better than a brush

If you are talking about the plastic T handel with foam on the end the one I have
    SUCKS.
The one I have did not come from AG but looks just like it the foam is too large to fit into the hole and when you push on it the foam will compress and the plastic hits the lug nut.

I posted about this item more than a year ago,

Dave try a paint brush about 3/4" wide use scissors to cut about a third of the bristles off to make it stiffer it will be better than the lug nut tool.
Also a small foam brush should work.

I have two brushes that I use for lugs but this lug thing looked like it would work better. The idea seems like a good one just not designed right sounds like

I thought about trying to modify mine but don`t think it can be made to work like what we would want.
The foam is too large and will not go into the small crevice.
The foam does not extend much beyond the plastic that it is mounted on so just a little pressure and the plastic is against the face of the lug nut.

Since the space is wedge shape that is what would be needed to get down in their.
Cleaning the wheels on a Corvette is a PITA

As said above. It`s JUNK. I use a lug nut brush from Autozone. Runs somewhere in the ball park of 4-5 bucks

Then you do not own a Corvette because it will not go into the small crevices of late model vette wheel.

Probably does but a brush is not what Dave was asking about. He was asking about this.

Proper auto care has 2 versions of it , one with a handle and the other with a shank for hand drill applications . I have the handle version.

Grant it that that thing looks cool, probably works preety damn good too. But for 8 bucks plus shipping? I could go to the dollar store or big lots and find something for under a buck that could do the same thing. Only reason i could see someone wasting money on that would be your a corvette owner and would get a kick out of saying, oh look at this 10 dollar brush i got, its made just for my car. whatever floats your boat. Kudos to autogeek thinking of making vehicle specific tools, Deffinatly a good marketing strategy. And thats not sarcasm, thats for real.

I`ve detailed countless vettes from the 60`s all the way to the new c6`s, And never had such a problem with the wheels that i would need something like that. I`ve got a tool box full of cheap paint brushes, foam brushes, detail brushes, etc, etc none of which are over a couple bucks and i`ve never had problems getting wheels squeky clean.

I guess my point of all this is don`t waste your money, Hit up big lots, the dollar store, etc, go to the paint section and use your imagination. Buy something and modifiy it for your use if you have to and save some money for wax.
