First impression: McKee`s 37 20/20 Cockpit Glass Cleaner

Of the recently released new McKee`s 37 products, the 20/20 Cockpit Glass Cleaner is the one that intrigued me enough to order a bottle. In the interest of full disclosure, I PAID for this product so that means that my observations are truly unbiased (j/k First impression: McKee`s 37 20/20 Cockpit Glass Cleaner).

This product tackles an issue that to my knowledge has not been effectively addressed in the past... how to clean that hard to reach interior glass - particularly inside front windshields and back windshield glass.

20/20 Cockpit Glass Cleaner goes on easily with a microfiber or cotton foam pad. The directions indicate to put a quarter size drop of cleaner onto an applicator and work it in to the glass in 12" x 12" sections until it starts to haze up. Then wait 60 seconds and buff it off with a clean microfiber towel.

I found the product very easy to use. As my applicator pad became more saturated, I worked it into slightly larger and larger sections then recommended without any negative effects. Wipe off was easy although I did have to buff each section a couple of times to remove all of the residue.

The results were clean and clear glass with relatively minimal effort. This product is a winner! My interior glass wasn`t overly dirty, no smokers film or much in the way of off gassing haze from my dash, but I believe this product would work effectively against those issues.

If you are looking for an alternative to spray glass cleaners for cleaning the inside of your windshield definitely check out McKee`s 20/20 Cockpit Glass Cleaner!

First impression: McKee`s 37 20/20 Cockpit Glass Cleaner

I used this yesterday and have mixed feelings. That was until I let it sit longer than one minute and less than quarter size of polish. I also used two towels, one to remove majority of polish second one to buff off rest.

I`ll be interested to hear how this works out, I`ve never had good results with Glass Products that work that way....always see *some* kind of undesirable artifacts even if they only appear under oddball conditions.

I`ve seen an Adams video where they suggest using thier Brilliant Glaze (which is normally used for paint) to remove interior haze on windshields. I`m wondering if this is the same sort of product.

Wolfgang Perfekt Vision Glass Polish came out around SEMA and works the same.

Way back when I first got on the forums here Clearkote Vanilla Moose Hand Glaze was a similar type product that lots of folks used to remove haze from glass.

Now that I think back.. It worked so good I`m actually thinking about getting another bottle.

From my understanding is that Wolfgang contains abrasives where as McKee`s 20/20 does not. Could be wrong though.

I believe that`s right. I have both and they are not the same.

Yep, the Wolfgang product has abrasives. I wonder if the McKees is the Wolfgang minus abrasives? The Wolfgang stuff is a blend of citrus cleaners and glass safe abrasives.

The McKees 20/20 says not to use on tinted windows. I wonder if they mean aftermarket tint or tint that comes from the factory? Or both?

but im sure even the mckee isnt aftermarket tint safe

should be factory tint safe right as factory tint is in middle of window layers?

Mckee`s does have the glass restorer polish which is abrasive. This sounds a lot like the Wolfgang glass polish.
