    Poorboy`s Extractor Forumla

This is a simple (short ?) review of Poorboy`s World SSF1 (Super Secret Formula 1) - Hot Water Extractor Formula. In this case, testing specifically with Bissell`s Little Green Machine (not to be confused with forum member TheMeanGreen )

I wanted to test out different dilution ratios in the Little Green Machine (LGM) and see how they performed. I mixed a 1oz to 1gallon, 2oz to 1 gallon, 3oz to 1 gallon, and finally, 4oz to 1 gallon.

Testing done on my cruddy 1996 Jeep Cherokee (XJ) with 240,000 miles. Please, don`t judge. I bought it about a year ago for quite cheap. It`s not Auopian by any means, and in fact, it`s main purpose was to be taken on off road trails, where damage is expected. The Jeep has remained almost the same for all that time, with minor cleaning here and there. Interior, til now, was treated with some minor vacuuming and Strawberry Scent (Also Poorboy`s).

Here`s the setup of my mobile lab

The two machines used (DeWalt 20v Max vacuum) and LGM

Some BEFORE shots of the pieces I would be working on

Yeah, the seat was pretty nasty. Notice a cleaner spot next to the MF towel? I had done a test spot with a different product some months ago. I only did a test spot as I wanted to see if the dirt (crud) would come back after a few weeks. Months later, it`s still clean. That small section took FOREVER to clean.

What I did, was section off the rear cargo carpet. 8 sections total. The 4 closest to the hatch were going to be straight extractor formula in the LGM, while the other 4 spots were going to get pre-treated with Enzyme (aka The Skunk) and/or Carpet & Upholstery. This would be my first time using all three of these Poorboy`s products.

From left to right, 1oz dilution to 4oz dilution. Starting with the left...

    http://s711.photobucket.com/user/Jus...po5hp.jpg.html

Yeah, this stuff is cleaning up some dirt

That`s pretty gross, right? Yeah it is. Here`s some video of that grossness!

Well, the job was getting done, but some spots were proving too difficult (or time consuming). So I bypassed my prior thoughts, and decided to treat a few spots with the Enzyme.

That helped. The 1oz to 1gallon didn`t seem to be enough. There was one curvy stain that was split almost 50/50 with the tape line. I thought this would be good to test untreated vs treated with the Enzyme. While the extractor formula on its own did help clean it up some, the Enzyme section was left clean. I then sprayed the first, untreated half with Enzyme and the spot was gone. Here`s that spot, just to the right of the brush.

Here is an after shot of that area

I totally forgot to mention the weather. haha... There was rain forecast for the weekend. GREAT. So I was in between small spurts of rain.

And in case I wasn`t going to have time that day, I at least wanted to get started with that nasty seat. here`s a pic of the DURING (I forgot to take after pics, and I will do so when I see the Jeep again...long story). It looks weird, but that`s because I couldn`t get the LGM to suck up ALL the water. So most of the seat is actually just damp, not stained. Yes, it cleaned it up some, but not entirely. It`s like buffing paint; I`ll need another section pass or two

VIEWER DISCRETION IS ADVISED. If you have a weak stomach, do not watch the following video. And don`t watch before you eat.

And moving to the other half of the rear cargo carpet...

Here`s a shot of the nasty water in the tank from the extractor. Pouring this out was gross, too. Not sure what lumpy stuff came out of it!! Some hair, too.

    ...

OKAY... Time is running out for my lunch, my salad is getting ...whatever. It`s sitting here.

    Some notes:
    - at 1oz/gallon - it cleans, but it`s not all that efficient for heavier stuff
    - at 2oz/gallon - I liked this ratio better, especially with pre-treatment with Enzyme
    - at 3oz/gallon - Nothing notable. Not sure if that section was just cleaner than the rest, or something
    - at 4oz/gallon - This stuff is great at this ratio. When I got to this part, I did *not* want to pre-treat, as I wanted to test it at this strength. It worked pretty well, I`d say

    - Enzyme - It smells...interesting. Can`t say like what, but it`s pleasant enough. Does not smell like The Skunk in the pic. I liked it.
    - Carpet - I did use this a little on section 3, and on the front seat. SMELLS GREAT. I loved it. With the various products used, however, I can`t comment on it`s cleaning ability

Little Green Machine - I got to give it some praise. I ran this little sucker for 4-5 hours, mostly on. I wanted to keep the water heater element going, so the extractor portion has to be on as well. Given that this machine is intended for SPOT treatments, I ran it pretty hard. I`m not disappointed in it. It did well. Good little guy.

    ummmmmmmmm.....think..think...think...What am I missing? mmmmmmmmmmm

    ..

    Some comparison pics!!!!

    ...

    Thank you for reading.

Thank you Poorboy and Dwayne for the chance to test this product out. I like it. I like it even more at 4oz per 1 gallon.

It`s taken me a long time, but I finally think I`ve learned to keep my mouth shut.

This way they don`t expect me to do anything, so anything I do is a bonus.....

YES!!!! I am glad that someone else picked up a sample, running out of time with a filthy van leaves no time for a comparison. Nice
write up, it is a nice product, isn`t it?

Just remembered that Spring Break is in two weeks, whilst I already had details (family cars) planned, it didn`t occur to me (until now) that I would have the time for a proper review......

Just imagine this stuff in a professional machine.

JustJesus- Hey, I enjoyed this too, thanks for posting it.

Maybe I missed something...did you rinse afterwards or just do everything with the mix(es)? If the former, how easily did it rinse out? Always a huge consideration for me....
Thanks JustJesus thanked for this post
