Pinnacle Souverän Wax - 10 Reasons I Love It

I bought this tub of Souverän maybe 7 years ago. I still love this stuff.

    10 Reasons Why:

    1. Tub last forever. Hardly requires any wax to wax a car.

    2. Application is literally effortless. So is removal. Takes about as long to apply as a spray wax. Spreads far and easy. It`s very oily on the panel - but wipes of clean with one pass of a towel. Ease of use is extremely high, no chance you can screw up with this wax. Doesn`t stain trim as well.

    3. Wax cake doesn`t get "funky" or a film on it as it ages. Old Souverän applies as easy as a new tub. Seems to never "go bad".

    4. The tub itself is awesome. Has an o-ring around the lid. Maybe that is why is doesn`t dry or degrade after many years.

    5. Looks top notch on your car. If you believe wax can affect how a car looks, you prolly aren`t going to get anything that looks better than Souverän no matter how much you spend.

    6. Smells insanely good, without a hint of solvent/chemical. If you haven`t smelled this wax, it`s smells like coconut/sun tan lotion/pineapple + raw carnauba - all mixed together. Smell lingers in garage as well.

    7. You can see this wax on black paint. When you apply it, it noticeably darkens and leaves what looks like an oil slick - so you can see where you applied it. But, somehow this "oil streak" just wipes clean in like one pass. See fender below

    8. You can apply it with anything pretty successfully. Machine, foam hand pad, MF applicator, bare hands - it doesn`t matter. I use a foam hand pad and a Korean towel to remove:

    9. Doesn`t "ghost", "sweat", or leave wax holograms on black cars in summer humidity - unlike a lot of other high dollar carnauba waxes.

    10. One of the easiest waxes to get out of an applicator when cleaning. I just let the hand pad soak in a 1:1 solution of LA`s Totally Awesome APC for a week or so and it comes 100% clean & non slimey.

****Only real caveat is Souverän doesn`t last long. But, application is so easy - it`s great for a garage queen.

+1 it is literally the only wax we have in the shop anymore haha

... can`t remember the last time I used it, but I cannot bring myself to sell it.

Re: Pinnacle Souverän Wax - 10 Reasons I Love It

There are days when I contemplate going back to the "old days" of waxing the car after every other wash...... and then I remember the full time engineering job, part time detailing business to run, family to spend time with, and the reason my car is currently parked in the garage all dirty (but coated for easy cleanup when I can find 30 minutes).

One day, perhaps, if I get a garage queen and some free time, I may revisit this thing called "waxing".... and I will probably still have the same jar of Souveran that I have now.

I use it exclusively on my black Audi and white Cadillac. Looks exceptional on both!

Every time I use it I say to myself....."I should use this more often".

Whenever I would apply a coat to one of my old motorcycles, I swear I would get more attention that night. The smell is addicting and attractive. Twice as many hands rubbing my gas tank too

Bought mine about five years ago and I still have quite a bit left as well. Love the fancy gold bag that it comes in...

I`ve used it on two red cars that I have owned and on red it`s absolutely stunning. Probably the most user friendly wax I have ever used.

It`s going to be my "go to" for cruise nights next year right before a quick application of PA High Gloss.

Anytime there is a thread and someone asks what is the best wax Souvergn is the one I bring up. I bought two jars of this wax and I`m sure my great-great-great grand children will be waxing their flying cars with this stuff. Apply it thin and it will last forever.

Yeah, I`m a fan too. Might go back to using it now that the Jag`s not in deep storage any more...Autoglym SRP topped with Souveran was always great on that car. BUT...those were the days when I spent a lot more time on this stuff (people who know how I wash might consider what that means ).

Ron, I haven`t been doing many shows now that I have a "newer" car. I went to both the Manchester show and Mark`s quite a few times when I had my Camaro.

You plan on coming up to CT at all after Winter`s over?? Id love to have you over for a beer and pick your detailing brain...
