Sonax Wheel Rim Shield One Month Update

It’s been a month since I applied the SWRS to my brother’s wheels, so a proper update is in order. Please note I did NOT clean the wheels since I applied this a month ago. To test the wheel sealant, I washed two wheels with just soap and water, and two other ones with wheel cleaners.

The Wheel Rim Shield produces strong beading capabilities and helps rinse the dirt off with a simple spray of the hose. As you can see in the GIF linked below, I was using a low pressure shower setting to demonstrate the beading capabilities as well as the dirt rinsing off the wheel.

Soap and water seems to be all you need to clean wheels when you have Sonax Wheel Rim Shield on. It seems anything too aggressive will take it right off, just as Optimum Ferrex and Lowrider Extreme Wheel Cleaner did.

I am very impressed with this product and will continue to use it. It held up against the high about of German brake dust and made cleaning a breeze. I would recommend this product for anyone looking to simplify their wheel routine even further.

I tried it on my SHO wheels. It was a waste of money. And I love Sonax products.

It had some pretty bad reviews when it came out on the AG side. Glad to see it working for you.

Same experience, I wash my wheels every week. The side I used Sonax on versus the untreated side didn`t have any difference at the next cleaning. I`ve tested it a couple of times with the same result. I found a detail spray worked just as well and cleaned as easily a week later. Also a fan of Sonax products generally. I have factory clear-coated silver wheels.
