Prototype Rinseless Wash Prototype V17 Review

So last week I answered the thread asking for beta testers of a new rinseless wash. I was selected for one of the testers. It came in yesterday. As soon as I got it, I remembered that in the thread there was some question of whether this was to be a public or private review........ So I sent a pm to Nick asking and asked some questions...

    1. was this to be a public or private review
    2. instructions on sample were vague, so is there anything else I need to know.
    3. did they want me to use any specific wash media (ie individual towels or mitt)

His answers were simple...... Use what I wanted for wash media. No other instructions besides 1oz per 3 gallons of water. MAKE THE REVIEW PUBLIC.

Cool !!! I feel like James Bond when he was handed his license to kill, and his Beretta.... (for those that don`t know or remember he had a Beretta at first and it was taken away for the ppk)

    So here`s the review.......

Product - Rinseless wash prototype V17

Label directions - dilute one ounce to 3 gallos of water

    Color - Hot pink

    Smell - Cherry Icee (MMMMMMMMMMmmmmmmm0

3 gallons of Florida tap water

    1 oz product

Mixed - doesn`t feel real slick....

So, remembering Nick gave me my license to kill, I pulled car out of garage
83 degrees, partly sunny, partly cloudy + black plastic car. Well he said test it..........

I decided to use a dread mitt to get more solution on the car.

    First swipe, I noticed this.

    More

I did the whole top/back section, then dried....

    more, wash

Now you have to understand, I did pretty large sections of a black car in FL and stop to pick up my camera take quite a few pics, then dry and this is what I get...

You also need to understand that I had to put my phone in the garage because when the sun came out, the phone got HOT, so to take the pics, I had to go back and get the phone. So the solution had plenty of time to bake on the car.

Re: Prototype Rinseless Wash Prototype V17 Review

Dressed and ready to go to the show tonight... Lots of pics from different angles to shoe clarity/reflection.

    Considerations.....
    Car is coated
Car has 18k on clock - 16k with coating
Car was dirty, dusty, water spotted from driving thru sprinklers last time it was out
    83-85 degrees
    UV index = high
    Humidity 81%
    Dew point 75 degrees

    Some thoughts and observations.......

Troy asked if this was a coating enhancing wash. I`m thinking it could be, or it doesn`t inhibit the properties of coating, as well as it acted as if it enhance. It also made my reload problems lot more noticeable to me. It cleaned, shined GREAT. No problem with streaks, shadows etc from doing it in sun, and on some spots I dried well, some just barely went over to leave some on and see how it acted.

    Bottom line: I`m impressed

Great review Ron!!! Thanks for sharing.

Seems like it works very well.

This may be the new DP rinseless wash. The color looks the same and the smell sounds like it`s similar.

Well if it is, it`s a winner.

Nice review. How does it stack up to other similar products in this growing category?

Re: Prototype Rinseless Wash Prototype V17 Review

    Nice pics and review...

    But I have few questions....

    1. I`m guessing this is going to be a Wolfgang RW product. Looks like the same color as Fuzion and their soap. The question is, is this any better (or different) than any rinseless wash out there? Is this just another good rinseless wash (there are many)?

    2. You still have Reload spots on your car?

    3. Do you just do a RW on a black dirty car without rinsing off any contaminates first?

You are a brave man trying a test product on your beautiful show car Vette. I am still to chicken to try waterless and I wold rather do regular wash then rinseless because I can and it will take me the same time s I am a nubb to rinseless.

No Grit Guard in the bucket?

Where was this offered to be a tester? If it was here I never saw it.
