    Gyeon Quartz: Q2 Trim Review

Gyeon Q2 Trim is a quartz based trim and plastic coating.

    Price: $39.95
    Size: 30ml/1.01oz
    Price per oz: $39.56
Consumption Rate: 30ml will do 5-10 cars
    Price per Vehicle: $7.99-$3.99

    Ease of application

On plastic trim: Extremely easy, simply put a few drops on your suede applicator and wipe onto the surface. Wiping off is normally not necessary.
On headlights/tail lights: Same as on trim, but it is necessary to wipe off the excess.
On rubber trim: This is a bit more difficult. The rubber is much more porous and thus will begin to absorb the product at different rates and become splotchy. A second application is often needed to smooth the finish out.
    Level of shine

No shine added at all. Plastics and rubber become darker and have a much richer look without adding gloss.

    Protection

Stated to last over 9 months and to be unaffected by anything from 9-11 on the pH scale. These claims are definitely true. We applied Gyeon Trim to a test spot and attempted to remove it with ammonia, isopropyl alcohol and vinegar, all to no avail. The beading and hydrophobic properties are absolutely amazing. It has the same hydrophobic effect as paint coatings, but on trim pieces. However, the best attribute of this product is the UV protection for over 9 months. Here in California we have very severe sun that damages headlights and trim pieces extremely quickly. The UV protection and oxidation resistance this product has makes it a MUST for people in climates with severe sun. It will protect your trim from oxidizing and becoming grey, and your headlights from becoming yellow and hazy.

    Pros

    Extreme protection
    Long lasting
    Great finish
    Cons

A bit tricky on rubber due to the porous nature, which will differ from vehicle to vehicle, so often times a second application will be needed in these sections.
    Conclusion

Gyeon Trim is an amazing product and an absolute MUST for people in climate with severe sun. It offers amazing protection, even in severe conditions, and lasts a very long time. The price point is unbelievably low for what you are getting. If you don’t want to worry about trim, plastics or headlights oxidizing and fading, Gyeon Trim is the product for you.
