    QuickShine by ClearKote

Its been a while since my last visit but i got to be honest i havent been detailing my cars all that often of late.. motorcycles either.

I try to keep things neat though and often throw a coat or two on, and a quick detailer.

One product that has always been a staple in my arsenal though.. is quickshine. anything plastic, acrylic, lexan.

It extends beyond my car care regiment and after killing off my last few drops from a quart bottle i purchased years ago i stepped up and bought a gallon from the source themselves.

Customer service was great although i am a bit unclear about how the concentrated formula works.. i was told i would be getting a gallon jug mostly empty that i fill the rest of the way with water.. for shipping purposes i dont understand why the concentrate wouldent be shipped in a smaller bottle and i source my own gallon jug or ration out into smaller bottles to proper proportions accordingly.

has anyone ordered gallons before? how much concentrate can i expect?

in any event i am eagerly anticipating my shipment now.. i know the labels and logos have changed i really hope the formula is the same.

In case this product has fallen by the wayside lately, its really a must try for instrument panel displays, radio and hvac face, rearview mirrors, headlights, make/model badges the list goes on..

I`ll keep you all posted when my shipments in

I have been using Quickshine for years. I purchased a gallon and it came concentrated as well. I think I have about half a gallon left. I agree that it`s fantastic for plastic and lexan. Its what I primarily use to wipe down my plasma TV screens, Iphones, and Ipad. I think that FK425 had a slight edge as a QD when using it on paint.

Excellent detail spray and glass cleaner. When you get the gallon jug, it only has maybe 8 oz of product in it, should be a very solid white. Just fill to the line near the cap with water (you can use distilled water if you want) and that`s it.

    Thanks,

Took delivery yesterday, it was more like 30oz actually.. Mostly white. Convenient line marked to fill with water for correct proportions.

So far i have only been able to QD my time pieces and LCD Monitors (for which QuickShine is unsurpassed i assure) but will try to get the muscle car up to snuff before putting away for the season and snag some fresh shots.

Thanks for the comment Vega, i wonder how many of us are around after our days wandering the forest.

Coincidentally, Vega powder fuels me every (athletic) season but winter.. I think fruitcake and gingerbread houses take on the responsibility for the short cold months

    Cheers, Happy Thanksgiving!

I got a gallon (concentrate) based on some rave reviews here, but was underwhelmed. Also, it wasn`t 100% Accumulator-proof as I once got some streaking/etc. on a black vehicle (that was wearing Collinite at the time, in case that matters).

Eh, the more I use IUDJ, the less I see a use/need for most of my regular QDs, including FK425. Gave away a gallon of GG SpeedShine the other day as it would`ve gone bad/separated before I got around to using it.

BUT...I never tried using QwikShine (oh how I hate keeping track of those cutsie spellings!) on monitors though. That might`ve been one of those perfect product/use combos (like Fast Finish on exterior black trim).
