How to get the customers in the door?

Looking for others to share how they first started out building your business. I used to own and run a fairly large shop for about 8 years then closed up, I was fortunate and took it over from a guy who had retired and the clients and employees where already established. I now have been out of the field for 10 years but finding I miss it and wanting to start a small operation myself and maybe one employee and my older kids.

Any pointers for marketing and getting the pipeline started?

    Thanks for helping the newbie!

Get some good examples of your work and start getting your name out there. Male sure your prices are competitive with the detail shops around you. You may have to drop prices a little but from my experience, if you do an awesome job, people tend to talk about it. They will tell neighbors and friends and you get more calls.

Start a Facebook page to update with info like recent detail pictures, new products etc. Make sure people find it.

If you can, put up a website. Most of my new customers found me using google just doing a simple search. Make sure you put things on the website that will make you stand out from everyone else.

Biggest thing is, quality work speaks loudest. Thats what gets you repeat customers and referrals. I also drop a business card in the cupholder of every car I detail.

I`m sure others will chime in with more info

Add your business to Google My Business asap. You can always add your website link later.

That too. Google is very important these days for growing a business.

I suggest you maybe give wix a try for web building. Its what I used. Bunch of templates to start with and customize and its all drag and drop.

Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
