Custom 1967 VW Beetle project finished! Orange peel removal+CSL/EXO V3

So at the beginning of the year I got on board to help with a project for the upcoming World of Wheels show here in Boston. You can see the original thread about the orange peel removal while the car was a shell.

    https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...vw-beetle.html

Over the past few months he has been hard at work assembling the whole car. From custom air ride, stereo, full interior, engine etc. This little vw has come a long way!

Fast forward to last night. It was finally time to do the final polishing and coating.

The car had some dust and minor overspray which was handled with Mckees 37 N914 and my Nanoskin medium grade prep pad.

Then a final polishing using my G21, BOSS correcting cream and a orange pad. Along with my Rupes Nano ibrid.

Prep wipe was handled with Mckees N914 mixed up to prep spray 1:8 dilution.

For a coating we went with Gtechniq Crystal Serum Light and EXO V3 combo. This Lexus color looks awesome in person. It`s going to show very well I think.

    Onto the finished pictures.

Looks amazing, what a beautiful color. Love those wheels with that car too, they go GREAT with it. Too many "slammed" beetles with swagalicious obnoxious wheels out there already, glad this is not another one .

Don`t see too many bagged beetles around. Nice work on the paint! I normally don`t like camber, but it sorta works on this car. Very cool concept.

Good eye on the headlight. The driver`s side has a Darth Vader mask in it. He has been looking for a storm trooper for the other side with no luck.

The back wheels tuck under when it slammed on the ground. When it`s raised back up they straighten out.

Totally agree. Especially since he is running true 4 corner air ride which is custom fabbed. Definitely not many around with his setup.

Beautiful. That is some nice camber on those back wheels.

I was hoping you would share finished car pics! I remember the other thread and asked about it.

Car came out great! nice job on the paint. Overall, well executed. Wouldn`t mind a bagg`d VW myself.
