    Polished up some CCW`s!

I had a client have some wheels drop shipped to me so I could polish them up and ceramic coat them.
They are going on this blown C5 `vette. They should look great!

They were pretty dull, full of water spots, swirls and scratches and the previous owner used some type of acidic cleaner/chemical on them because there was evidence of the cleaner that had streaked and etched into the wheels some.
They cleaned up nicely and should compliment his electron blue Corvette nicely.

I used Sonax shampoo, HD metal polish, my Rupes iBrid, Rupes 3", misc foam pads, my hands/fingers (!) a bunch of MF towels, Kenotek leather/vinyl for the tire dressing and BEEDS ceramic coating for the LSP.

Looks great. Little bummed, thought I was going to see a pimped out Colt or Glock when I first saw the title Must have thought I was on glocktalk or something.

Going on the C5 that you had on here a month ago with the blue and black paint? Loved the look of that Vette.

How does the coating effect the mirror finish of the polished surface? Any reduction in the reflection or improvement?

    Thanks Civic!!!!

LED: Yep, that`s the vette they are going on. He wasn`t thrilled with his current CCW`s that he had powder coated black. Wants something with a little bit more contrast and I think these will fit the bill.
Interesting and excellent question!!!! I would say that after application there may have been a very slight reduction in reflection, but nothing that wouldn`t be noticeable to people...I feel that benefit of the coating will out weight any slight reduction in `shininess`.

Thanks for the great and relevant question!!!!! (and LOL @ the ccw/firearm comment!)

Same thought went through my mind.

Those completed wheels are nothing short of awesome. Great job Chester.

LED beat me to the punch...

Love me some good polishing. I find the more higher the polish, the one it want`s to absorb.
With polished wheels though, I`ve never found a single product I like post polish/LSP - just mainly because it dials back all the hard work on the polish. Yeah, I know...oxidation, etc. Eh, high polished wheels def. not for a DD for me, but great for those garage queens

Killer! Fun job too, if time wasn`t a constraint.
845 on chrome wheels looks good and takes the heat.
Why is he putting wheels on a car that has blown up?

OK cool, thanks for that info on Colli!

LOL, his vette isn`t blown up, it`s `blown` as in supercharged!
