Black 2500 Denali - Winter is here

You northern guys are gonna laugh at me but it was freezing cold 35-40 degrees while I was doing this truck. I could not close my garage door so it really sucked and the wind was about 20mph! Another thing I found out is HD Polish+ does not like cold weather at all... made it very sticky to the paint. I was happy with results though and by the time I was done, the weather had warmed up enough to take some nice outside shots!

Incredible job, man. Favorite truck in (almost) my favorite color. Dad has one in dark graphite - I drool every time I see it.

    Awesome work on that scratch!

    Fantastic results!
The truck is massive, must`ve been quite a task!

What`s with the trailer hitch custom "cover"?? Looks like a mini block bumper designed to prevent low-slung bumpers from ever getting underneath the truck.
That or it will literally take of your leg if you run into it walking between vehicles in a dark parking lot. Ouch!!!!.....(been there, done that)

    ^ That`s a height-adjustable tow hitch for lifted trucks.

    Great work.

I`m not a big fan of pick ups but that is one sweet truck.

What was your approach to handle the sticky HD Polish? spritz then wipe off or was it also giving you issues while using it?

It`s 21 here right now, getting ready to go clean up an ex coworker`s car ,thankfully no polishing but hopefully my wax doesn`t act up.

i would run the polisher over the area really quick to make it wet again then wipe it off ASAP before it dries. no issues while using it, just really sticky/stubborn on the wipe off.

I`m very hot natured so my only concern with the 20 degree weather this morning was my water freezing up,which it did a bit while I was RW a panel but I came equipped with some hot water in a sprayer and that took care of that. I was comfortable wearing an underamour long sleeve, long sleeve cotton shirt and my business t shirt with a beanie hat and something around the neck. Wearing a jacket feels constricted when I`m detailing.

Good thing I was at my customer`s house, she had to run an errand and while I was there , her water got turned back on and the outside line started leaking everywhere, it would have been a mess if i wasn`t there to turn it off.
