Wrecked 2014 Black Jeep Wrangler Polished and Coated

The main issue with this vehicle was the paint and windows on the driver side had been destroyed by a sprinkler at the owner`s residence. This assault had taken place over a long period of time. The owner did not know the extent of the damage nor was he aware how damaging hard water from a sprinkler is to your vehicle.

The second major issue was water entry during heavy rains leading to standing water around the floor mats. Consequently he had a mildew smell he told me he couldn`t remove. With that said, aside from that and dog hairs the interior was not in bad shape. I sprayed the interior carpets lightly with vinegar, before I started working on the exterior.

    General Materials Used

Chemical Guys Citrus Red Car Wash w/Kwazar Venus Pro Super Foamer

    Blackfire Rinseless

    Pinnacle APC

Blackfire Total Eclipse Tire and Wheel Cleaner

    Carpro Eraser

    Optimum Paint Prep

Detailers Pro Series Waterless Wash (clay lubricant)

Wolfgang Elastic Poly Clay Bar fine grade

    CarPro CeriGlass (glass polish)

    Paint Correction
    Menzerna PF2500
    Menzerna SF3500 (formally 4000)
    Menzerna FG400

    Rupes Duetto
Porter Cable with 3 inch backing plate

    Interior
    Distilled white vinegar
Detailers Pro Series Carpet Cleaner (rug and carpet)
    Griots Garage Interior Cleaner
Rubber Pet Brush (awesome dog hair brush!)

    Dakota Non Smoke Odor Eliminator

    Protection and Dressings
Optimum Gloss Coat (exterior painted surfaces)
    Mckees Glass Coat (windows)
    Wolfgang Liquid Seal (doorjambs)
303 Fabric Guard (carpet and matts)

Chemical Guys Bare Bones Undercarriage Spray
    Poorboys Trim Restorer
    Blackfire Interior Protectant
    Detailers Pro Series Tire Gel

I started with my wash technique of foaming the car with the Kwazar foamer then with a rinseless mitt washing and rinsing the car with 2 buckets that had Blackfire Rinseless solution.

I had a 3rd bucket with rinseless solution dedicated to wheels tires undercarriage to touch up what I had missed.

I used Pinnacle All Purpose Cleaner with a microfiber glove around problem and intricate areas.

The worst level of contamination on a side panel by far.

This was my second time around this panel.

    This is the rear window.

The two side panels opposite of the driver`s side I used Menzerna Power Finish as a one step. Those two panels were not nearly as bad as the rest of the car.

I started with FG400 by around the molding. A little more gloss with no real defect removal, I knew the paint was in trouble here. Next step Porter Cable using FG400 with a 3inch Orange Lake Country pad. The other areas I would compound twice with this combination

Afterwards I would use the White Pad with SF (4000).

The larger areas I would use the Duetto testing out the green Rupes pad FG400. Like before I would up the aggressiveness, moving to the blue pad. To trips using FG400 with a blue pad ..

...followed by SF (4000) with a yellow pad generally was enough to accomplish my goals.

As for the windows fortunately the areas where driver safety would be a major concern I was able to clean and polish to much higher clarity. The side windows did have a lot water spotting marks that appeared to be permanent I had not removed but improved somewhat.

Poorboys Trim Restorer was used on all of the exterior vinyl, plastic, and moldings.

Blackfire Interior Protectant was used on the dashboard and interior vinyl.

I apologize for not having more pictures of the interior, was detailing on fumes at this point. There also weren`t too many great before visuals of the interior to accurately describe the condition.

Thanks. Being that it was my 1st time putting a paint coating on a customer`s car, it was a great step in the growth of my business. The customer was also very happy!

Looks great! That was in rough shape.

Curious as to why when taking your after photos you chose to not turn on your light though.

That is just me not getting the lighting right and having everything available at certain times of the day/night.
