    Introduction:

In 1963 the style of the Corvette changed in big ways. To many people the body styles of the 1963-1967 corvette are the most preferred and sought after corvettes. The 1963 corvette is the only year the famous split window feature was available. This beautiful automobile was powered by a rare 327 cid V-8 with fuel injection. This rare package is rate at 360 horsepower and the most powerful option that was offered in 63. This car is owned by a corvette collector who actually drives his cars, which is great to see.

Now onto the detail, I have already detailed this car once right when the owner got it, but since then the owner has completely redone the interior and had some wet sanding done on the car. Here is a link to the first detail.

    http://www.autopia.org/forum/click-b...-corvette.html

This time the car was in much better shape, there were some minor swirls from washing, and the use of fender protectors that are used when doing maintenance on the car. Sorry for no before pictures but I forgot my camera the first day.

After washing the car with Dawn soap to remove the previous waxes, I pulled the car in and tried to determine my game plan. The defects on the paint were not severe so I decided on Menz. Final Polish on a white polishing pad.

The weather did not want to work with me so I could not pull out the car to check it out in the sun. :grrr

After checking over the condition of the paint I decided to move to the lsp. I decided on Zaino Z-5 pro because it looks sooo good on a nice prepped black car.

I love mixing this stuff up I feel like a little chemist!

After letting the Zaino sit for 5 minutes I applied a very thin layer to the entire car. I did three coats on the car and after each coat I sprayed the car down with Zaino Z-8 quick detailer. After all of this I finally got a chance to take some pictures before the next down pore. The were very quick shots because I did not want to get any rain on the car after all of the work.:bat

    After shots:

These were the best I could do, there was no sun and A LOT of clouds.

As far as the chrome that was cleaned and polished using neverdull. The windows were cleaned with stoner invisible glass.

Thats all for now thanks for looking and any comments or suggestion are always welcomed.

    Thanks,

Thank you, the front plate is not permanent, the previous owner had it on the car.

    Looks gorgeous

    Thanks!

Thank you, I couldn`t get the pictures I wanted because the weather was not working with me. The car I think looks better in person because my photo skills are that of a three year old.

    That came out fantastic!!!!!

Thank you I hope to make it out to the next Mid-Atlantic meeting, it looked like a great learning experience!
