I saw a Camaro today with color-changing paint (I`ve always referred to it as "chameleon paint"), which makes it the third vehicle I`ve seen with this paint. I`ve yet to see any pictures of a vehicle with color-changing paint on Autopia though. Have there been any pics of this?

Mercedes make a color called Silver Frost. Depending on the light your in it appears silver sometimes and a champaign gold sometimes. Gorgeous color.:xyxthumbs

these next 2 photos will show better the color changes in the Mystic Paint. the paint has small Mica chip in it that creates the color changes.

I saw a Cadillac with it`s version of color change paint called"White Lightning". Nice effects, bright white goes to blue-gold-reds in direct light.

    That cobra looks really nice.

Off topic but TVR seem to turn out a very high % of their cars with flip paints. They seem to go really well with the curvey shapes.

Thanks for the compliments everyone. wherever I go with this Mystic Cobra I get people stoping to stare. most of there comments are that they are suprised its a factory paint job by Ford.

    LightnSvt,

the Mystic Paint is no harder to detail than other clearcoat paint. I am a huge Lightning fan and have owned a 1995 and 2000 Lightning. Hopefully the Lightning is not dead yet and we will see a GEN 3 Lightning someday. I want one.

I love the look of the color shifting paints, but touch ups must be a "beetch"

ChromaFlair is the name of one of these paint systems, their website has a number of PDF`s available which may provide some technical information which would be of use when detailing or performing touch-up.

I`ve seen Nissan and the late MG Rover Group offer these finishes on cars here in the UK.
