Good on you for using the right stuff! Hope I didn`t come across like a [jerk], this topic comes up a lot and too many people, uhm....are on the other side of the fence from Yours Truly.

I`ve yet to try that version, and/but I`m no Hater of Simple Green, just seldom have a need for it and the ancient gallon (of the old/regular version) that I inherited might last me this lifetime.

How do you know which is the "safe for aluminum formula"? I visited their site and didn`t see any mention of aluminum. I`ve used SG for years and really liked it, but I`ve stayed away recently because of all the forum comments about bare aluminum. Has the original stuff been re-formulated or is there a different product than what we usually see on the shelves?

Billy Jack- mikeysentra oughta have the answer, but I`m surprised their website doesn`t make the info obvious...like some reference to use on aircraft or somesuch. IIRC, it`s called something like an "embrittlement" issue. Eh, wish I`d paid closer attention so I`d really know what I`m talking about

If you don`t mind, I`m gonna try to remember that you know from the Aluminum Issue first-hand and reference you the next time somebody flames me about it being an Old Wives Tale. Sorry to hear that it happened to you.
