I see that some door protectors fit with Velcro while other between the glass and the panels. Any issues with tinted windows with the panel tabs being there ?

NO, but only because (see my earlier posts on this thread ) I DO NOT EVER use the "tab-style" ones on vehicles with aftermarket tint. No problems with OEM tint, but there`s no way I`d ever risk it on aftermarket films.

    Hadn`t thought of that....

Decipher it must be right, given the response I gave right before this one! Sorry, I ramble on so much it becomes incrutable

IMO the Hammock and Door Protectors are the minimum and would probably be sufficient for a smallish dog that doesn`t shed much.

Big dog- add rear footwell filler.
    Shedder- add seatcover/protector under hammock

Make sure the hammock will attach securely in the Fiesta (four headrests?).

Get stuff that`s easy to clean and that the dog won`t slide around on. Don`t necessarilly need "soft and plush" as my dogs don`t care about that the way I`d expected.

Forgive my ignorance. The foot well filler does exactly what? Extends the seat in a sense I assume ?

Yeah. By filling in the "empty space" between the backs of the front seats and the front of the rear seats you provide *GREATLY* improved support for the hammock and give the dog(s) more stable-hence-useable area. If a dog just lies there it might not matter much, but mine like to sit/stand and it`s a make-or-break difference in our case. Back in the day I filled that space with other stuff, but the inflatable things are really great IME. Can`t overstate how much I like them, but eh...that`s me/my dogs/my sedans (the rear of the Tahoe is configured differently, specifically for dog-hauling including seat removal/etc.).

I guess there`s a "but they have to jump up more to get in" consideration for small/infirm dogs though, but when I had ones that couldn`t jump up/down well enough for that I was helping them anyhow.

Noted. I`ll have to look into it. Those door covers I can`t find unless they`re of the tab style ones that are not safe for tinted windows

Striker- You might be out of luck for the Door Protectors if you have aftermarket tint. I`ve never found anything I like for applications like that (my Crown Vics have always hadthat tint on at least the rear door glass). No problems with *factory* tinted glass though.

Well it isn`t tinted yet. I just finished polishing it an hour ago so it wasn`t even really drive lol. I do want tint tho that`s for sure. I just don`t want to have it ruined

Then don`t get the Door Protectors with the tabs. Not a big deal, just gotta do a quick cleanup of the door panels when you do the windows.

OR....that hammock you were thinking about might keep the doors clean enough to justify the zip/unzip routine...so maybe I oughta rethink that after all.

I just purchased a hammock with those sides except it does NOT have the sides standing up with the straps.

I also got a large towel and placed it as my first layer. Should be ok.

Striker- OK, see how that works out, might be perfect. I found it a, uhm....learning experience....guess I still do as I end up trying different stuff with each new dog-hauler before I get it just right.

I`m now even thinking of just getting the 17 dollar hammock with no sides from my local store....same ````. No side pieces.

WeatherTech makes a good canvas cover for the seat. But I also put a couple of grommets in the base of the cover and secured it with bungee straps under the seat. That way it stays put, except when I want it off!

    DAC17- Hey, that`s a good idea..the grommets and bungies!

Striker- Now that I`ve seen pics of your interior, I`d be all about protecting that white stitching from dirt and wear.
