    What Else Do I Need

I recently took stock of my detailing supplies and was a bit shocked.

Just wanted to to know what you guys think. Do I need anything else in my arsenal ?

Meguiars M105, M205, M21 and some #7 Hand Glaze for wax Natty`s Blue and Collanite 845. A bunch of Chemicals guys stuff. Black Light Hybrid Radiant, V07 Spray Sealent, Bare Bones, Inner Clean interior cleaner Spray and Wipe Speed Detailer Diablo wheel cleaner and some Nonsense Mr Pink for washing the car. I also have an additional couple bottles of OTC Meguiars interior quick detailer and some spray wax. As well as some Riccardo clay and 303 Protectant and Dodo juice detail spray some Lexol conditioner and cleaner. For an aggressive cleaner some Simple Geeen and Spray Nine. Poor Boys Trim Restorer, Exp Sealent Black Hole Polish with Carnuba.

I have a Makita Rotary and a newer PC DA with Lake County pads and backing plates. 4 yellow 4 orange 4 black LC pads.

    Do I need anything else???

    Clay lube?

IMHO - Ditch the simple green and get a different apc. I`m not a fan of simple green for auto use, it can stain/pit.

You seem to have everything you need! Last last thing you might want to pray to God for is perseverance, for without it, there is nothing! The first time some unhappy client comes back and it will happen, be there to make it right.

Do you offer any headlight restoration services? I`d highly recommend adding a headlight upsell.

I would look it another way. What surfaces do you have to deal with and what will you use?

Chrome, shiny plastic (often on exterior trim), textured trim, carpet, interior dressing (mainly for neglected interiors, inner clean can work for nice interiors), tires, etc.

You didnt say what size backing plates you have - hopefully you have 5" and smaller for spot work, and for the rotary an extension so that you can get it closer in to places without having the machine in the way.. You will need to see how it works and feels with the extension, as it will be different.
I have had an extension on my Makita 9227c for years and its really the best way to use a big machine for me..

You need a dedicated pad cleaner and more pads... 4 pads is not even close if you are going to do some serious correction..

What are you going to be doing while all the pads you have are used, and you washed them and now you have to wait for them to dry, at least overnight, ???

I have a couple of big cabinets full of just pads, so I never run out.. You dont have to have that many, of course, but just 4 of each is going to limit how much work you can get done before its time wash and dry them over night, etc...

    Good luck !

Thanks for the help. I am mostly doing this for my own cars. Not a professional by any means. Some one mentioned headlights. I have use the Griots Headlight kit. And the Griots trim restorer.

Any other stuff that might makes ethicists bit easier.

    Thanks

Good thoughts on some pad cleaner and more pads. I have a 4 inch or so plate for my rotary with LC pads as well as a 7" plate and some large I would say 8" 3M pads. The PC I use 5.5" LC pads on it.

To add to the pad cleaner. .
Get a pad washer when u get the cash. Works great with a rotary. I used to hate cleaning pads .

Didn`t see any mention of a rinseless wash product. With something like Ultima Waterless Wash+ (UWW+) you can mix it as a rinseless wash, waterless wash and a clay lube.
