A detailing bench now with wheels

I had built a bench that sits out 24x7 (could you tell?) and had been using it when detailing to rinse out mitts, brushes, etc. after washing along with keeping other stuff while washing. I started putting my wash buckets on them rather tha my wagon. This bench a little unmanageable so ended up adding some casters so I can move it around. The buckets are now even higher so minimal bending. The casters allow me to easily move it around and will stay outside since no space in the garage.

Now, I just need to get the mildew off it.

Nice job. Form following function. If it were made of trex it would list forever.

I am thinking of the next version. This started as just a bench to use for general use (like for repotting plants) and then started using while detailing. The next version is likely a year away.

Nice thought. I hate all the bending. Sux getting older lol

This is a great idea, one I might have to try. I just have limited space for stuff. If you used HD locking casters you could take that potting Bench and make it a detailing bench and also make it a sitting bench. Storage problem solved.

    Thanks for sharing.

Yes, bending is the key reason but needed something I could get wet. My wagon was metal so would rust a little and could use as a wash/rinse surface.

I used it today this morning and worked great.

I washed the mitts on the bench and then cleaned out the buckets. Now, rolled it back in place to let the buckets dry.

The grit guards stay in place with these buckets.

Great idea. It maybe needs a pressure wash and a coat of stain or paint.
I get a lot of mileage out of my mechanics seat on wheels - a lot like this one: Amazon.com: USA Made - Professional HD Mechanic's Seat (HRS) - by Whiteside Manufacturing: Automotive

Great for ONR washes, polishing and LSP`s.
