Iron X

I purchase the Iron X in 4L size to save some $ and because I go through it so fast. I made my last 2 x 32oz spray bottles and I need to think about re-ordering.

So not I have 2 questions for everyone

1. Is there a better iron removing product for the $

2. When it the next 25% off with free shipping?

Anyone use Auto Finesse Iron out?

Looks like I can get 5L for the same price as 4L or Iron x

and no shipping (can pick up) AND they run a coupon.

Might need to try that unless I hear something bad.

It works fine. I have used it as well as ironx. I find ironx to work better and it changes color faster.

Todd had done an "Iron remover" showdown on here last year I think.

IMO and use you are hard pressed to find a better "Iron remover" than IronX. From almost all side by side test IronX worked better and when a second application was used on competing sides IronX pulled out more stuff left behind by other products. IronX is all I use anymore on paint. I do have some Sonax for wheels but only because it has other cleaners in it as well. IronX is still better at removing iron.

Adam`s Deep Wheel Cleaner is 100% paint safe and can be diluted 1:1 for paint decon. In gallon form, it is much cheaper than Iron X, smells much better, and I have found it to be just as effective.

Thanks for the link. I totally forgot about that. Looks like I need to go with the Iron X. I like the most performance. Too bad bc the AF is cheaper and no shipping. Hint, Hint Vega.........

James Death did a test posted on Detailing World very similar to Todd`s but using UK market iron removers. Bilt Hamber Korrosol was the only product that he thought really rivaled CarPro Iron-X. I haven`t seen many comments yet on the relatively new Optimum FerreX or SONAX Fallout Remover but baring one of those turning out to be great I`d stick with Iron-X for painted surfaces.

Consider IronX Paste. You can dilute it with distilled water to make the spray. Think of it as a concentrate. I use it 1:4 and seems to work as well as regular IronX spray. And you can play with the dilution ratio if you need it stronger (or weaker).

I actually have,it. I used it on wheels I just can`t get clean. Gets the last bit off very easily.
