    Hello,

Do I have to use the 50/50 iso wipedown after I`m down with every panel/every polish? Can I just use it for the first few panels to make sure I`m geting the correction I want?

    Thanks!

    JD

I`d use it after correcting every part you`re detailing in order to better be able to tell how many defects you have removed. If you only wiped down some parts you corrected with it but not others, those others would pose the risk of revealing defects you could`ve otherwise seen right away by wiping them down .

Right. Even though you might be able to dial-in your process in the general sense by only checking a few initial panels, if you want to *really* ensure that each one is OK you`d better check them all. And if you`re IPAing for other reasons (e.g., removing M205 oils) you`d want them all to be uniformly prepped in that regard anyhow.

But this is all assuming you want/need to IPA anyhow...not like I consider it 100% mandatory in all cases the way some other people do

there is no need for IPA wipedowns as long as your using a waterborne single polish system, though still will if its solvent based containing traditional solvent lubricants/carriers
Car care/detailing sadly isn`t high on the agenda for 98% of australians.

I do it universally during a major correction out of old habit and to be certain. Typical overkill Autopian practice.
