Has anyone tried ZFX Flash Cure Accelerator Additive on non zanio products?
How did it work out good or bad?

That`s almost like asking if anyone has tried diesel fuel in their gasoline-powered car.
You could use it on Menzerna`s FMJ to make it cure quicker. Probably any polymer based sealant could benefit with curing times.
Or maybe I just dumb.....

All polymer sealant are not equivalent in composite.
ZFX will "only" activate the unique polymer composite of Zaino.
ZFX isn`t cheap enough to use for experiments like that!

Wow, I`m suprised we have no experimenters out there. I used it in FMJ and it turned out pretty well. faster and harder cure.

Did you do it side-by-side with un-catalyzed FMJ? Did you leave any in the bottle afterwards, and if so, what happened to it?
No did not do side by side, should have. Just mixed up 2oz. in small bottle, lasted wholr car.

So you`re not sure whether the faster curing was due to low humidity, or something like that? Or whether the ZFX caused the FMJ to harden on its own in the bottle like it would with Z?
This is sort of a tangential data point, but I`ve noticed that ZFX`ed Z2Pro doesn`t set up in the bottle like previous versions of Z2. I haven`t got around to trying to use the leftover on a small area of paint to see what it does, but it`s still liquid (and it`s been a couple of months now . . . about 3/8 oz. in a small plastic bottle). The cars I`ve done with Z2Pro all got ZFX, and AFAIK, are going strong in looks and durability, so it doesn`t seem to be a "defect" with either my Z2Pro or ZFX. I`m just surprised that the leftover Z2Pro/ZFX didn`t turn into sludge and then solidfy as I`ve seen in the past.Originally Posted by Setec Astronomy

I guess I`m just skeptical that the catalyst for a product that is meant to be catalyzed (using Z1 or ZFX) would have an effect on a product that is not meant to be catalyzed (FMJ). This isn`t a perfect analogy, but it`s kind of like saying that using the catalyst from an epoxy paint would be helpful when mixed with a single-part paint.
Maybe I`m just closed-minded, and I hesitated to challenge this because I can`t myself nor am I sure anyone here (do we have any ChemE`s?) can really speak authoritatively on how the crosslinking works in a polymer sealant, and how the Zaino catalyzed crosslinking is different (if it is). On the other hand, I do believe that most of the products we use are more alike than different (although I have always thought Zaino to be unique due to its catalyzation and its results).
I was just wondering because a lot of the same polymers Wolf Gang, FMJ, DP probably all come from the same place. IMO
