Vintage as compared to todays` paints and looks.
IMHO natts black is better for newer cars. IMHO it has a brighter look (mirror), where blue has the deeper, warmer richer look, more "wax jetting" (look).
One time "age" has an advantage in knowing what the cars looked like (as well as almost having bought a gn, but got a vette instead). That and having spent tons and tons of time at car shows/auctions, and hearing from experts on what is looked for.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!
Right, eh...my humor is either too subtle or just OFF today.
Eh, I must`ve completely misinterpreted something...thanks for setting me straight.IMHO natts black is better for newer cars. IMHO it has a brighter look (mirror), where blue has the deeper, warmer richer look, more "wax jetting" (look).
Yeah, I keep telling myself that`s a feature. Heh heh, my pal Bob can give an earful about how mortified I was that he had his Jag MKII reshot in b/c. I tried to tweak its LSP/etc. a little to mitigate that "it looks like a new Lexus or something.." look. One time "age" has an advantage in knowing what the cars looked like..

Thanks everyone for your input.
Going to do the whole car, presumably with Black Hole, along with Natty`s Blue.
Out of pure curiosity, I will do one panel with Souveran.
Paint correction may or may not be in the cards for this car. As the paint has been VERY well maintained, it`s not impervious to "love marks", which have manifested in the form of light swirling.
In all honesty, applications of Black Hole and a preferred wax are all it will likely get going forward.
The look we`re going for is a wet, jetting pool of ink. Nothing shiny or "bright", but rather more "deep".
Car Show is in SoFlo - Pompano Beach, at the Festival Flea Market. Always a good show, and a huge turnout.
