Re: Recommend me a Beauty Wax, $50 range

For some reason I simply hated the way P21S looked on my Jag, especially compared to Souveran. It was maybe...I dunno..."too bright/reflective with not enough depth/jetting" (note those scare-quotes ) and that was on metallic light gray too.

Guess I`d go with the Souveran, which always pleases me on every paint. Reapply at every wash though, it just doesn`t last.

Oh, and FWIW I let it flash off/dry/set up before I buff it off instead of using the usual W-O-W-O approach except when using it on black plastic/rubber trim.

In that price range I might suggest Pinnacle Signature Series Carnauba Wax II

You have all these waxes and you to add some more?..... I would, indeed, say you are "missing" Pinnacle Souveran Paste wax... but then it`s easy to spend someone else`s money.

My suggestion? Check "The Swap Meet" topic part of this forum and see what you can trade for. With the advent of coatings, many long-time detailers have waxes just sitting on their shelf being unused, collecting dust. Might be an opportunity for you to find some "used" high-end beauty waxes. OR someone might be reading this thread who have such waxes and will "Personal Message" (PM) you with an offer.

Now for the pressing million dollar question I and surely other Autopians are wondering: Of the the waxes that you DO currently have, what is your favorite (or favorites) and why??

Agreed. It is very bright, but not wax bright.
Formerly the "Best Detailer", now just Super Wax Waster Man. Not necessarily tactful, but normally right. It`s good to be da King !!!

DP Max Wax, or it`s called McKee`s Trademark wax is quite good for the $. Quite similar to Souveran, actually.
I can`t quite tell a difference between the two, to be honest.

I think you should seek a wax from over the pond! - Something different to what you already have. The next gen SIo2 wax`s. Sure it blows your budget.. but I don`t think you`ll find happiness seeking another natural based wax.

    AngelWax - Enigma
    Fireball - Fusion
    PowerMaxed - Tsunami

Thanks for the comments about P21S Ron and Accumulator. I`m all about the depth/jetting so it`s good I didn`t pull the trigger on it.

I could go on for days, but I won`t. In no particular order, I love the following:
Blue Velvet Pro (looks and good longevity)
915 (looks on certain colors and longevity++)
Bouncer`s Vanilla Ice (great beauty wax for 2 months)
Natty`s Blue Liquid (huge impact and longevity in a liquid)

Almost ALL the other waxes I like very much, even ones that aren`t highly touted here, such as Adams Buttery, which pops like nobody`s business and fills nicely, for "both days it lasts" to borrow Ron`s saying about S100.

Anybody used those "Soft99" waxes from Japan?

Took a photo of my P21S to show how the inner and outer tubs separated:

See how the 100% P21S jar looks in comparison?!?

Needlessly complicated packaging that they have to pass the cost on to us.

I have tons of spray waxes and QD`s, so not looking for sprays at this time.

Anybody still a fan of P21S?
Use the Zymol Carbon. One of my favorites for ten years now.

    I also use Creame.

To answer the Soft99 Fusso question above, I`ve been experimenting with it of late. Similar to FK1000p but more tight beading. What I like most about it is how slick it is. Better than FK in that category. If it lasts half as long as claimed, it might dethrone FK for me, which nothing else has yet. It`s a glossy look on white paint, which is the only color car I have, so can`t comment on any other colors. Forensic detailing channel on YouTube has an in depth review.

I did a swipe of the Carbon on my motorcycle, which is a deep maroon with tons of flake, and it seemed to mute the flake, which I`m fine with on the bike, and will be completing the bike with Carbon, but I was skeptical how it might look on my black metal flake car, whereby, if the flake is accentuated, actually starts to look like a dark charcoal color, which is nice, as is the proper use of commas, which, as you can tell, this sentence does not demonstrate, per se.

Well then, wow, THAT sounds tempting. But FK is "sealanty" looking isn`t it? Is the Soft99 a "Shine & Bling" wax and opposed to "Depth and Glow"? (maybe hard for you to tell on a white car).

Re: Recommend me a Beauty Wax, $50 range

RMD- Thanks for that post about the Soft99 Fusso. If it *does* last longer than FK1000P (I`m assuming it equals/exceeds the FK with regard to dirt-shedding since it`s slicker and also equals its antiu-etching protection, right?) I`ll be the first to see if it`ll be my new fave. FWIW, I`m getting well over a year out of the FK, and that`s on year-round daily drivers that see Ohio winters, and I`ve even tried leaving bird bombs/bugs on the paint for *months* and had no etching/LSP compromise in those spots. IF something else can beat that I`d love to know about it
