Gloss Coat is pretty much the leading consumer level coating in all the side by side testing I`ve seen.

I am most shocked that you say you never had much water beading. I did gloss coat on my Grand Cherokee 12 months ago and it beads like crazy now and it did then too. Not just normal I waxed my car beading, but rather rather stands up a 1/4" everywhere. If I drive with water on the car it blows off as if it just doesn`t want to be on the paint. I have done three cars all brand new and everyone has the most insane beading of water I have ever seen before.
