    Tornador questions

So I`ve been looking at this for years............ Always been on the fence about it.

So today I was kinda "browsing" and looked here

    Autopia-CarCare Tornador Car Cleaning Gun

    Then watched this video,

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7w8A1m5UtE

I`m intrigued. Anybody use one? Really use one?

I`m worried this will be a flash in the pan, so to speak.

Buy it, use it once, put it on the shelf...........

    Thoughts?

I`ve used mine once, it sits as far as using it as a foam cannon I`m back using my pressure washer and cannon. It blows through soap so it`s not in my opinion the best way to go. Using it on the interior for apc or carpet cleaner would be its better strength I`m afraid for me it will sit on the shelf with my pad washer. If I had to do over I would not have purchased.

    Re: Tornador questions

I just used my this weekend on an interior. Some gunk on a seatbelt holder, in the small gap between rubber seals on the doors it blows the junk right out.

I can do one better than that. I have a new one sitting on the shelf, never used. Probably had it for over 8 years.

Send me your address Ron. To be clear, this is one of the original ones.

Tornador black 020 is better than the 010. The tornador does nice job of blowing dirt and stains out fabrics without leaving those nasty water rings. It WILL unwist the stands of your house carpet. It will fill confined areas with vapor so wear a mask. If you can wait a few weeks for shipping, you can buy a black for $62 OTD and then pick up gallon of enzyme cleaner. It`s worth it.

Do you have the Tornador Air Foamer? Or the Tornader Car Cleaning Gun? It sounds like you have the Air Foamer.

I have one my shelf as well Mark. Used it once. For a weekend detailer its ok. I can see the use for someone that details more frequently or does other cars. If you keep up on your car`s interior I really can`t see the need for one.

    Re: Tornador questions

I liked the video... It looked cool.

All I`d really do with it, besides looking at it on the shelf and thinking to myself "yep, I got one"..... Is to help clean up gf`s car.

Between her hand lotion, and the kids.... It`s always a MESS

    Re: Tornador questions

I do break mine out for engine bays. I`m not a fan of spraying engines with the hose or pressure washer so the tornador makes quick work. I do use it on nasty interiors, but switch between that and steam depending on my mood. It works very well with interior QDs to clean and dress in one step like Meg`s QID and CG innerclean.

From what I understand, my compressor isn`t big enough to handle it

    Re: Tornador questions

I can say that I use a Tornador every single day. A lot.

I can`t imagine life without it.

I had the normal one, that requires 6-9.5 bar, and my compressor just wasn`t quite enough to run it efficiently.

I then bought the Tornador Black, which runs on 4.5-6 bar. AMAZING!!! The thing has so much power it`s scary, so I actually turn down the pressure on my compressor so that it runs the way I want it.

I use it on everything, I have interior cleaner solution for carpets, seats, dash, doorpanels, etc, to get into all the cracks and crevices. I just started trying a second jug of my interior dressing, and it blew me away... I can literally PAINT interior dressing on the dash, doorpanels, a, b, c pillars, any and all plastic I see gets `painted` with the interior dressing. Done properly, there is no need to wipe it after, either! Talk about time saving. I can do an entire interior in ~30 minutes, and the results are leagues above what I could do before.

I am looking forward to getting a bigger compressor so that I can utilize the second Tornador I have to tag-team interiors. That`ll be flippin sweet.

Oh, I also use the dressing solution on engine bays, it gives a great even coating on everything without dripping!

The next thing I want to try is a degreasing solution for fenderwells, engine bays, doorjambs, etc. Looking forward to trying that.

Can you tell I love mine?

For anyone looking to buy one, spend the extra $ and get the Tornador Black! It uses FAR less air pressure and CFM, I can run mine constant for hours easily with my little 10 gallon compressor.
